I recently added these products to my routine alongside a dark spot serum because I’m very serious about finally addressing hyperpigmentation that has been on my skin for years. My skin struggles with hormonal acne, and while I’ve been loyal to The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide for a long time, I wanted to start incorporating ingredients that target discoloration more aggressively. What really caught my attention with the cream was the 377 and 577 ingredients. I did a bit of research on them and was intrigued by how they work to target melanin and help fade dark spots. As someone with melanated skin, I’m always cautious with brightening products because I want something that evens out my skin tone without disrupting my natural complexion. The addition of alpha arbutin and sodium hyaluronate also made this feel like a well rounded formula. I also have some older dark spots from years ago that I’m determined to finally eradicate, so I’m very much in my consistency era when it comes to skincare. I’m hoping this will help push things along as I work toward evening out my complexion. The cream itself feels hydrating and layers nicely with the rest of my routine. It absorbs well without feeling greasy or heavy, which I appreciate since I tend to use multiple products. It’s still early in my use, but the ingredient profiles alone makes these really interesting products, especially for those of us with deeper skin tones who deal with post acne marks and stubborn discoloration. I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs over time with consistent use. Read more
Overall I like this dark spot removal serum. First, the packaging is nice. It looks pretty high-end. The pump works fine, no issues. The serum is clear and on the thinner side, but still viscous. It definitely runs on your finger so you need to apply quickly to your face. I like that it spreads easily and smoothly on your face. I typically apply serum generously on my face unless otherwise advised against it by instructions. So, on this product, I pump about 3-4 times to generously cover my entire face (I think most people would be good with 2 pumps), paying special attention to the dark spots on either side of my cheeks. The serum does have a mild but pleasant, clean perfume-y fragrance. But if you do not like fragrance, then you definitely don't want this product. My face feels a bit tacky afterwards but it's quickly absorbed and dries quickly. I've only tried this serum for about a week so it's too early to tell whether it works to remove dark spots. I can say that my face feels a bit softer the following morning. Not sure if that's my imagination but it seems so. I did take a look at the ingredients and they seem to support the product's claim - that it's supposed to remove dark spots. I noted that the second most abundant ingredient is aloe vera juice. That sounds about right because after application, I noticed my face felt immediately tight, much like when I apply fresh aloe vera gel directly from the plant. After aloe vera juice, most of the ingredients are synthetic, but some of the abundant ingredients are known to remove dark spots, such as niacinamide, alpha arbutin, and tranexamic acid. I will update this review in about 1 - 2 months to report whether this product is effective. But so far, I'm enjoying this product. It's reasonably priced for a bottle of a tad over 1 oz. Read more

TJE Dark Spot Corrector Face Serum is a great product and it really works well. I've been using it for a few weeks and I have noticed an improvement in my skin's texture, firmness and brightness, all the while beginning to fade a couple of sunspots that nothing else I ever tried seemed to alleviate. This serum is easy to use. I apply the seum after cleansing, giving my face a gentle massage until it becomes fully absorbed. It absorbs easily and does not leave my skin feeling oily or sticky afterwards. I can apply my usual moisturizer immediately afterwards with no pilling. My sensitive skin is not irritated by the use of the serum. Immediately, my skin has a brighter appearance, due to the actives contained in the formula. The formulation, of which Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin are a part of, slow melanin production to fade dark spots. The actives are effective at fading spots while at the same time, being gentle to the skin. I really like using the TJE dark Spot Corrector Face Serum. It does what it says and it works. It has improved my skin's appearance. It's a good value and, because consistency is key, I will continue to use it and plan on repurchasing it before I run out. Read more
This serum has a really nice texture. It’s lightweight and sinks in quickly, making it easy to layer under moisturizer or makeup. It doesn’t feel sticky and leaves no residue on the skin. I’ve been using it regularly in my routine, and it works well with the other skincare products I already use. Dark spot products always take time, so this is more of a gradual improvement situation, but the formula itself feels gentle and comfortable on the skin, which makes it easy to keep using. My skin is a little more glowy and brighter after using. For the price of $26, it is not bad, but I do prefer brands I know at that price point. That said, it does have a lot of good ingredients, so if you don't mind that, it's a good product. ***** Disclaimer ***** This item was provided through Amazon Vine in exchange for an honest review.
