DCC-3000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker and Filter Bundle

For years I had another brand of dispensing coffee maker and had to buy a new pot every 2 years because they would wear out. I am curious to see how this coffee maker hold up to daily use. The reviews stated various things other found wrong with this maker. First and foremost is the fact that the cord is much longer than the 5 inches (or about) that several complained about. It states in the instructions it is stored inside the housing and you need to pull it out. As for leaking some others have complained about, my counter has remained dry. IF you overfill the coffee maker there is an overflow routed to the drip tray. That ray is small and holds enough for normal drips but depends how much you overfill the pot if it would hold the entire overflow. The dispensing light is a nice feature. I often start my day in the dark and do not turn on lights until needed. With this light I am able to see how full my first cup is. The coffee in the reservoir remains hot for the full 4 hours. If you need your coffee boiling hot, my advice is get a 1 cup coffee maker. So far I am impressed with this coffee maker and hope it lasts more than a year. Read more

NO MORE BROKEN GLASS! Best coffee maker I have had in 40+ years. Its easy to clean, there is a handle you pull up and it pulls up coffee carafe, filter basket, and filter, easy to clean, dishwasher safe. The coffee is consistent varied only by the roast and what you place in per cup. I have a nice full TB per cup of Med roast and its strong like I like it. Has a 1-4 cup toggle to get small batches made with consistent flavor. BEST COFFEE MAKER i have owned. Only wishes: 1 make 1 tad small for 6 or 7 cup max, made a shallow and equally porus cone filter, the basket is good, think the cones save money, could be wrong in that. Read more

we just got the machine just two days ago, it's taking some time to get it figured out. It is Night and Day better than the H-Beach version of this machine. Love the gauge in front showing how much coffee is left to drink. The clear plastic water reservoir is also nice to see how much left to brew. The distance from the drip tray to the filler nozzle it to short for MY coffee cup, I have to remove the drip tray to fill my cup. Still trying to find the right amount of grounds because the same we used in the other machine is way to weak for this machine. I like the fact that this machine is twice as heavy as the other one, so you don't have to hold on to the machine to dispense coffee. Read more

Coffee stays hot but doesn't cook like it does in a carafe. Cord is too short to pull the coffee maker out from under cupboards to add water and coffee. Geniuses who designed and approved obviously don't make coffee at home. Read more

The filter that came as a bundle with the coffee pot, doesnt even go with the coffee pot. I dont have a clue why they have it with the purchase of the coffee pot. I REALLY LOVE THE COFFEE POT THO, WORKS GREAT Read more

The coffee maker itself is great. Easy to use, convenient coffee dispenser. It includes a reusable basket-style coffee filter and a couple disposable filters inside. The extra reusable filter packaged separately, though, is cone-style, and cannot work with the coffee maker. Read more
