Flawless rice cooker. I really love this thing. Outside of Asia I wouldn't expect to find something of quality. This was a wonderful find. More than worth your money. Rice is sticky. No glass top to worry about. Very easy to make good servings with. Feeds a family without issue. Or single servings. No odd or questionable tastes after cooking. Doesn't burn the rice. Smell is excellent. It has a nice metal plate at the top for greens and cheeses. It steams everything very well. Not a lot ways to hurt yourself with it. No concerns of it exploding at all. Lid is well made and secure. Interior is excellently done. Water build up from steam doesn't get to the heating element. Easy to clean and store. Love it. Read more

I love this rice cooker. I bought it so I can cook something during my lunch at work instead of eating out everyday or making cold sandwiches. I've been able to make chicken fried rice in it, noodles, soup and even the velveeta pasta dinners with chicken in it. The handle makes it so easy and convenient for portability. Its small and light but doesnt feel of cheap quality. It can hold about 1.5 to 2 cups of rice. And the inner pot is non stick. It also cooks everything quick within 20 minutes. And now that my co-workers smell a cooked lunch, they are considering buying one too. Read more

Gave this unit a try after reading other reviews as I was looking for fairly portable rice cooker that could potentially cook other things. It is very straight-forward to use since there's just 1 switch, and it does great job cooking rice for 2-4 people. 1) It's really important to use the measuring cup provided. 1 cup of rice for rice cooker is different from 1 US cup. This really isn't a new idea or because of this manufacture. 2) I usually add a little more water to rice so that it cooks perfectly than what they recommend. 3) Once it's cooked, stir the cooked rice in the rice cooker with the paddle provided, close the lid again and let it rest for a few mins. Have cooked primarily white sushi rice, white basmati rice, and wild rice mix (Whole Foods brand) and they all came out perfectly. The lid can be a bit warm to touch after cooking is done. It also does keep the rice warm, but I would not keep it there long as it dries out from the heat. Noticed the paddle of water at the bottom of the unit after cooking 3 batches back to back, which probably was not meant to do. I also handwash the inner pot and dry well. Using plastic paddle provided or the one I have on hand as I don't want to scratch the coated (non-stick) inner pot. Haven't tried the steam dish yet, but this little unit has been a good portable rice cooker for the price, and so far reliable. Read more

Smell like chemicals 1st time I used it. I cleaned the machine, removed all plastics and a really heavy smell of chemicals filled my kitchen. Wish I would have known sooner to return it. Very cheaply make. Exterior is plastic. Feels cheap. Read more

I've used my rice cooker 3 times without any problems. I haven't tried making soup or porridge in it but here's how I think about it. Pros: - Easy to use - Works like a normal basic rice cooker (1 button click) - The handle makes it easy to carry around without burning yourself - The size is great for 1-2 people only - It doesn't take up much space and it looks cute - It's super easy to clean, I had no problem washing it Cons: - No manual on how to cook rice. (just google it) - If you cook more rice then the recommended amount it might overflow or leak - Some parts of the rice cooker feels like cheap plastic. I was afraid it might melt while cooking rice, but it hasn't melted on me yet. I'll update my post if it does ever melt. - The power chord is very short Read more

No printed guide for cooking ratios. Had to go on line. Took long time to find what was looking for. Iβve not used one previously. All I found was ratio water/rice. What about noodles? Other stuff. No tool for picking up metal top tray. Hard to do without dumping whatβs in it. It did cook the rice accurately. Read more
