The Deep Calm Bathtub Tray Caddy is exactly what it says it is. Meaning, it is expandable. I expand it to 42". It does have grips that hold the tray in place on both sides of the tub. It's also easy to move the tray forward or back to accommodate its distance from you once you are in the tub. And the upright part of the tray is wide enough that it does hold a 12.9 inch iPad. I have placed an iPad, phone, bottle of water, eyeglasses, earbuds and a small towel on the tray and it holds all of it very well. Therefore I find it sturdy and extremely user-friendly. It's easy to set up. It only takes a minute while the tub is filling. The only minor downside is that the upright tray flops around if not stored flat. I put a large rubber band around that part to hold it place when I store the tray and that works fine. This is the only bathtub tray I've used, so I would guess that all the tray caddies that have the upright tray to hold a tablet or book probably swing loose when storing the tray. My suggestion would be to have something that snaps that part in place to hold it down when storing it. But this really is a minor point. Bottom line: It's a perfect bathtub tray for its price and all the designed slots to hold everything work perfectly. I've used it daily for a week and I love it. Over all like the product but not a fan of when you fold it up the extenders don't stay in place, this is something I can fix tho. I also don't like I can't put the IPad stand at an angle to read with. Other then that I love this and sits/stays on my tub well Read more

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband since he likes to take baths with some whiskey and a movie. We’ve both used it almost weekly for over a year now and it’s held up beautifully. The expandable width makes it easy to adjust to the width of your tub, and it’s big enough to hold my husband’s huge iPad. My only complaint is when you set it on its side, the expansion pieces slam back together and it’s very loud. We’ll be using it for years to come though! Read more
