Installation was straightforward. Hardest part was drilling 4 holes into the exterior brick with a masonry bit. After installation this new hood should keep birds and other small animals from entering the dryer and basement. It was a good $12 upgrade. Read more
Good design. This product is easy to install when you have a new surface. Mine was a replacement and that made things harder. The directions are in graphics on the container. When installing, be sure to mind the orientation of the flappers. The rim is not a square but is slightly rectangular. Good quality and function. Read more

This is a good quality vent. It easily fastened to the standard 4" pipe from the existing installation, with the groove cut for the pipe "spine". The vendor not including screws makes sense, since the product will be used in so many different ways. I needed 2" screws for my application. As others have stated, the outer hood fits a bit loosely, but a small screw driven through the top of the cover into the bottom "frame" solves that. Just back the screw out when you want to delint the cage. The louvers are a second defense against critters. All in all a smart product I can easily recommend. Read more
