This is not a gaming laptop, nor is it a laptop for all your storage space ever. This is a laptop meant for work. I use it for my French tutoring sessions, and it works perfectly for me. This Chromebook is incredibly slow, has a degraded battery and is on its final version of Chrome OS, so there will be no more security updates from future versions. Speed - it is REALLY slow to load tabs and webpages and begin playing YT videos. This will likely be down to the totally outdated eMMC style of SSD, which is effectively just a basic flash drive installed onboard, so can't be swapped for something more modern. Battery - Amazon Renewed state: "When present, batteries have a capacity that exceeds 80% of the new equivalent." Sadly, this model, which had an excellent rating struggles with just 64%, so its already well on the way to being less usable. See image. Software - Amazon didn't bother to mention that the device's version of Chrome OS is on its last legs, so it already is not compatible with many apps and services - and will soon have no ongoing development or security support. That is less than open and honest and many people will soon be stuck with an almost useless and unsafe device. Overall, this is an annoyingly slow and compromised product that will soon become almost useless - not to mention less secure. Good portable size and reasonable price but it does not function properly for more than a month. Was tricky to set up for my senior parent to use as well. It almost seems like it was refurbished but purchased as new. Will not stay connected to the Internet and battery will not hold a charge. Not great quality and would not recommend. Read more

My son was upset he had to turn in his Chromebook at school for the summer because there is a game he plays on it. I decided to get him an inexpensive refurbished one and this exceeded my expectations. It has been working so well for him the last two months and he is just so excited to have one of his very own.
