Power cord and vga or hdmi not included. I was waiting all week for this monitor, constantly checking the tracking number when it was finally delivered on time I opened it up and lo and behold all I see is a box in a box and a monitor and stand. That’s it. No power cord no hdmi no vga nothing. So I go and borrow the ones for my old monitor (the one I’m replacing hence the eagerness.) and what now? The screen is just flashing red then white then black. I think no big deal maybe there’s a bad connection I unplug and re plug search the computer to see if it finds the monitor which it automatically should and nope can’t find the monitor. I contact Amazon and the representative assumes I’m lying since the description says it includes everything and suggested i return it for a refund. What the heck Amazon I need to work I have to make a living how am I supposed to do that when you keep wasting my time?! Don’t trust this seller I’d recommend going elsewhere. Read more

This is a very satisfying monitor in my use. On one of my other computers I have a older Dell Ultrasharp model. This looks better to my eye. Some of this may the Ultrasharp is a few years old and some may be just improvements in technology since that older one was made. It's also a whole lot less expensive than the Ultrasharp. I love how Dell manages tool free assembly of their monitors. Just snap the mount on the stand and then slide the monitor into its mount. Done! The only caveat is to be sure to press the parts until they click into place. Mine is solid and stable. The E series monitors don't have the features of the higher prices models like adjustable height and a multitude of inputs. There are slots on the bottom so mount the appropriate Dell sound bar which is a nice addition, though I didn't use it for this one. I just needed a basic monitor that looked good and this was exactly that. The full HD (1920X1080) resolution is perfect for my use. I'm very pleased with the Dell 23in E2318Hx monitor. It gave me what I needed for a good price. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the display and was surprised that it looked better than my older and higher end Dell Ultrasharp monitor. As should be obvious I'm giving this monitor 5 stars. Excellent picture at a good price makes this a value in my opinion. Read more

Decent monitor for the cost,but not as good as the 8 year old Samsung that it replaces. Screen will tilt but is not height adjustable. Mounting stand ok, but fairly flexible, nothing like the Samsung. Overall, it is a decent monitor for the price and does a decent job for basic home computing/web surfing. Read more

I bought two of these in November 2020 to replace some old HP Pavilion 22XW's that I bought back in 2017. I use a mounted dual-monitor setup. One of them is still going strong. The other won't power on. At first it started to randomly shut off and power back on until one day it didn't power back on. I expect the other to fail on me in the same way at some point - not a good feeling. I do enjoy the width of the screen and I found the color modes and the menu to be nice. That's the only reason I'm giving it 3 stars - it got the job done. My recommendation: don't get these. The way it failed on me and the 1-year warranty it came with suggests that this monitor is being dumped on the market. We need more durable products, we always have, and especially for the sake of the environment. Also, ironically, this product has some sort of "Climate Pledge Friendly" insignia attached to it. Don't buy it. I had hoped that by the time of my review, I could provide a recommendation for a good monitor in this performance range. I'm still looking but I think I'm going to incrementally replace these Dell monitors with the HP X24ih. The HP X24ih comes with HP's 3-year standard warranty, which I take a as a sign of them being better built than these Dell's. I love this monitor. I ordered it to go with another one I already had. However instead of the e2318Hx like it says in the listing, I received the e2318H. I believe the main difference between the two is the HX has HDMI output whereas the H has DisplayPort output. Slight difference but could be an important difference for some. I was able to still use it, as I have a large supply of cables at hand, but not everyone does. If you are getting it specifically because it has an HDMI output, you could be getting a wrong one. I purchased 2 of these monitors on Black Friday. Within 3 weeks the screen on 1 of the monitors quit working. Dell offered to replace the monitor with a refurbished monitor because the item was purchased through Amazon and they are listed as the owner. Unfortunately, Dell was unable to transfer ownership to me in order to receive a new monitor. Amazon followed back up with me and shipped a new monitor that I received in 1 day. So far, I have not had any issues with the replacement and the original monitor that I purchased. Despite the outcome with Dell, their customer service was excellent and the rep followed back up with me after 1 week to confirm I received a monitor from Amazon. Overall, the screen is very clear, the brightness can be adjusted, and it is a lot easier on my eye. These monitors are worth buying to improve or add to any work from home set up. They are connected via HDMI cables and I have not had any issues. The monitors do not have speakers but that isn't an issue for me. These monitors are good for a bargain price. If you have a few more bucks to spare, Dell definitely has some other options with more high end features. Read more
