No, where the quality or workmanship of my old Dell XPS. This OptiPlex 7020 Plus is made in Indonesia. The DVD/RW is very flimsy and feels cheap. When the CD/DVD slot opens only half way, you have to pull it out to place a CD/DVD in tray. I had my last Dell XPS for 11 years with NO, problems what so ever! I bought this Dell 7020 mainly for Windows 11 Pro and better speed. The monitor cable Dell sends has HDMI male plugs, is useless, this tower has NO HDMI output!. Buy a UV001 cable for Display Port male to VGA male connection on your monitor for app. $7.00. Amazon published $1200.00 original price, I paid $999.99 plus tax. Very nice Computer, boots up very fast and I have already used the DVD-RW that's speedy. My only issue was when trying to install Webroot Antivirus Software, I was getting McAfee Critical Virus Alert Pop-ups, which is a scam designed to panic you into clicking a link, which can lead to downloading malware or giving up personal and financial information. The unit shipped without a hard drive. Even though the description listed a 1TB PCIe SSD drive, when I booted up the machine for the first time it responded "No Hard drive found". Update: The shipper was very responsive to my problem. We tried a couple of diagnostic things and determined the hard drive was present but did not work. The shipper quickly replaced the machine with one that works as expected. A very good customer service experience and the new machine performs as I expected. Read more

Ownership of the unit could not be transferred because originally sold in Saudi Arabia - Vendor could not disclose the previous Owner - Had to reformat the unit and found out (via Dell Support) that Win 11 Pro was installed by vendo rover the original OS Linux. Previous computer didn't meet Microsoft's requirements for the future. This one should satisfy them for a few years. We use a computer for email, searching the Internet, typing, Video Calls at Christmas, and storing documents and pictures. This machine does those very well. It had a good price. It comes on quickly. Using the Internet seems faster. It has plenty of memory and storage space. Has a DVD RW drive and plenty of USB, HDMI ports. It does not have a VGA option, but my monitor has both VGA and HDMI ports so I just bought an HDMI cable. Initially, the screen was partially out of sight. No setting I could change helped. Out of the blue Dell did an update, and after rebooting a few times the screen was as it should be. It comes with some Dell apps. Haven't tried it yet, but SupportAssist has Dell Migrate that claims its will copy files from your old computer to your new one. There are purchased programs on our old computer that I hope this will migrate. Just haven't gotten around to trying it yet. Comes with several video apps that I'm not interested in. Came with McAfee antivirus which I ignored. Comes with Windows 11. It seems there are a lot of unnecessary "improvements", but I haven't had that much trouble going from Win 10 to Win 11. Other than my initial problems with the screen size, I've had no issues. This was a good purchase. Read more
