Having upgraded from a cheaper 1080p webcam, these are my comparisons: Pros: - Auto-focus works amazing. No more fighting with manual adjustments. You really couldn't do better in the settings yourself. Trust me, I tried. - Low light image quality is a definite improvement. - HDR mode works great to balance highlights and shadows. - AI tracking is a neat feature though I don't intend to use it. - Zoom feature in DELL software is nice (though its not really an optical zoom, it's just a blown up image). - 65 degree vs 78 degree viewing angle options are also nice. (though again, it just looks like 65 degrees seems to be a more zoomed in version of 78 with no improvement in sharpness or image quality). - Build quality is solid. - Camera feed has never randomly dropped out. I always had to unplug and re-plug my old webcam. Cons (kinda): - Coming from a 1080p camera I expected the image detail on a 2K camera to be twice as sharp? Well, not really. The output resolution is definitely 2560x1440p and there are bit more details in the image, but I guess I had forgotten to do the actual math. The difference in horizontal and vertical resolution is about 33% (from 1920x1080), so remember, 2K doesn't necessarily mean twice as much. There is also a definite improvement in image quality as well. I was going to give this 4 stars because I expected something near a 2x improvement, but after doing a side by side comparison I've changed my mind. It was a poor assumption to begin with and probably a ridiculous expectation as well. Conclusion: While I haven't had other 1080p cameras to compare to, I'm pretty sure there are others out there that might probably do what this does, for cheaper, with comparable image quality, albeit at a slightly lower resolution. So if you really don't *need* that extra resolution (to show the real texture of your skin during those Zoom meetings), I wouldn't bother with getting a 2K webcam. That being said, everything that this webcam does, it does do pretty well, so, if you specifically want to get a 2K camera, this is the one I'd get. Read more

I purchased this camara to replace the one that came with my Dell desktop. The built in camara produced a grainy and poor quality image while in virtual meetings. This camera is outstanding. The image is clear, sharp, and pretty true to color. Really happy with this upgrade, and got it on sale for $75. Read more

Summary: Great picture quality, feel of high quality, love auto focus and face tracking. Pros: Top tier Sony lens and CCD, the build is tight and modern looking, Windows software is much better than others have commented. Comes with additional desktop/shelf stand. Cons: Long camera that does stick out in front of monitor a slight bit, like all add-on monitor cameras its not secured to monitor and can easily be knocked off. Some will not like that it doesn't have a mic, but I opted for an external dock with speaker and mic, so not big deal for me. Plus no webcam that sits on the monitor have speakers that are usable so you still need a speaker solution and all conference solutions have multiple noise cancelling mics in addition to speakers anyway. It also does not rotate, only up and down, but not many do. With AI face focus on this doesn't impact me as it follows my face. And lastly, of course it is pricey. Summary: I wouldn't be surprised if Sony builds this for Dell as all the components are Sony inside. I found setup and use of the camera on Windows to be straight forward and had no issues. I see most of the negative reviews about the Dell software are Apple users. What did they expect buying from a retailer/manufacturer that is a competitor of Apple? Of course Dell isn't going to put as much effort into the Mac software/drivers. I found the AI face tracking to work perfectly. There is even settings for jump, slow or fast. Jump means it jumps without any motion. Obviously slow or fast mean it moves to your face. I use fast and find it seems most natural and least disruptive to viewers. I work in a low light environment or high light if I open the shades. The camera adjusts well to either situation. I couldn't ask for more. The camera runs only slightly warm for me, I had to touch for a little while to even notice it was above room temperature. It's possible others have gotten bad units and/or the manufacturer has resolved the issue since, or maybe I'm just lucky? Part of me thinks its just Logitech fans being hatters. LOL Read more

Super sturdy design. The web camera does produce 4k video resolution at 30 FPS, so it lives up to the marketing. The magnetic cover is the only thing keeping it from being a 10/10 in my opinion. It feels dense and a little heavy for it's size. Read more

Camera works great most of the time. Image is sharp and white balance is pleasing. I only notice one time the exposure was way off and image looked very dark. Auto focus always makes sure the person is focused. Build quality is wonderful with full metal body and the monitor clip works on Dell monitor. The downside is there is no software support on macOS except being a plain camera. IR sensor still tries to do something, but that is just creepy Read more
