Bought in December 2019. A nice machine generally - small, light, functional... except it has blue screen crashes daily since I bought it a year ago. I've talked to dell support multiple times and run all diagnostics, updated all drivers, and yet... it still has blue screen of death crashes all the time, with varying errors. Often won't start properly. Also wakes itself from hibernation in the middle of the night and runs down the battery, so I find it dead in the morning if it's not plugged in. This can't be good for the battery life. Sometimes without warning during boot it will give an error saying "hard drive not found". And dell support claims it's all "software" issues - even though that seems highly implausible given the hard drive not found errors and memory management errors and power state errors. They just run down the clock on the 1-year warranty and tell you that you can call their 'software support line' for a fee of $100 if you want them to help you solve the problems that they shipped the machine with. I have been buying dell for 20 years, used to fixing my own computers, etc. I've never had such a bad experience and don't expect to be going back to dell. I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPUTER. This laptop is not up to snuff. The microphone is located in an awful place (immediately below the mousepad and pointing down). I have never been able to be heard on this laptop with a headset. It picks up sounds from the keyboard and table better than a voice. The touchscreen is touchy (in a bad way). Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Also the bluetooth frequently disconnects and refuses to connect to my devices the first time without being restarted. I bought this laptop because I saw it frequently rated as the "Best laptop of 2020" and other such clickbait titles from reputable tech websites. It does not live up to expectations and I am thoroughly underwhelmed. Given it was so highly reviewed I'm not sure where else to find good laptop suggestions, but don't go with this option. Read more
