I purchased this unit for my garage in Minnesota after a very humid summer. The install was very straightforward with no surprises. The only caveat is that you have to already own a manifold and pump or purchase one As for the operation of it, I installed it in autumn so I did not need to use it until winter for heat The unit is pretty close to silent and did a fantastic job warming up and maintaining temperature in a two car garage One thing I was amazed at is although this is rated for 15° it is still producing heat at -20° It’s not as efficient as it is in warmer temperatures, but it’s still blowing out 90° air So mechanically, the install and quality of the unit seems great. Software wise, they could use some help both with the remote control and the app First, the temperature only goes down to 60 I would really like to keep my garage at 45 to 50 Second, the timer function only allows you to turn it on or off in a couple hours. There is no way to turn on and off at a scheduled time every day. This is an excellent Mini. Installed in my shed and had it 80 degrees in a matter of minutes. Installation is fairly simple and took about 1.5 hrs. A vacuum pump, gauge set, and some hand tools were required. There is plenty of copper tube and wire length. We cut about 3 ft of tubing off and flared the lines. No issues at all in installation. The installation was pretty straight forward. I did have an AC technician out to connect the lineset. Now before I go to our cabin, the unit is switched on using the app. The remote never gets used because the app works so well. The place is nice and confortable upon arrival. Read more

Hvac is my job so I selected the cheapest unit I could get for my 18x20 addition . The kit definitely includes all the material needed, but, you will need the vacuum pump and gauges. And it’s not like you’re sitting there monitoring Operation just need any gauges and the mini split 5/16 adapter to connect and pull vacuum before letting in refrigerant then remove them. The unit works great, I doubled the lineset insulation and when it’s 23°f outside the unit supply temp is 124°. Value for money? Eh I bought the cheapest one because I do this work so I don’t care that much. But it works awesome . This unit took about an hour and a half to install. The wiring diagram is funny but you just have to trust it. Match up the 220 line and the communication line goes itself. I don’t even detect when it goes into defrost. It would be easy for a person to buy this and have it lay around until they get someone to install it . You def need the tools or have someone do it. Amazon sent unit that did not work. Since HVAC contractor could not come out quick enough to return to Amazon, Amazon referred us to Della. Della assured me a finish unit was being sent to me, but more than six months have passed and I paid a contractor to install a defective unit. Read more

Ordered this for my12' x 24' woodworking shop and it's perfect. Although it took a while, it was very easy to install and is completely DIY. Just follow the various videos available and you'll do just fine. As a tip, AutoZone has a free loaner program for some tools. I've heard some brands have a terrible app, but Della's is very nice. It was easy to get it paired up, is easy to use, and has good features. Overall, this is an incredible unit for an excellent price. Read more
