My wife and I have been using this machine everyday (usually a few times on weekend). All of the drinks have been great. The system boots up fairly quickly and the water is hot and ready to go in a few seconds. There are lots different drink options and customizations are easy to make for size and strength. The system is great at purging and cleaning all the lines as well as alerting you when something needs to emptied or cleaned manually. Some gripes (still have to stay at 5 stars as these are minor and the coffee drinks are great) are the amount of purge cycles and water it uses for this. We constantly have a small drinking glass on the counter to catch all these purge cycles. It purges when it boots, finishes a drink, and when it shuts off. Great for keeping the machine clean and making sure the coffee taste stays great, but get ready to have a tray full of dirty water if you dont have an extra glass to catch the cleanings. My other complaint is the milk carafe procedure. We love to make lattes and cappuccinos so we constantly have it full and ready to go in the fridge. The problem is the attaching and detaching from the machine itself. The port is extremely snug and from a heat/brew it must cause a vacuum seal making the carafe extremely difficult to pull off the machine. I frequently feel like Im going break the connector or something with the amount of force I need to remove it and store back in the fridge. Read more

I was a long time TK-01 user, and when the paper weight finally died, I went looking for a new automatic espresso machine. I settled on the Dinamica Plus from De'Longhi and I couldn't be happier. The machine is 6 months old, works flawlessly, and doesn't leak. It's made of metal, and you can just tell that it is well made. There are multiple settings for different coffees, and they all work. There is no problem with the coffee hopper sticking or jamming. The automatic milk dispenser works flawlessly, and overall the unit is easy to take care of. There is a learning curve with the machine, maybe 2 weeks, but really not bad. Read more

After going to Italy and then France years ago my wife and I just had to have great espresso like the coffee we had in Europe. We since have had a fully automatic espresso machine and more recently a Nespresso machine. Obviously the automatic part is really important to us - no tamping or adjusting portafilters for us. We had forgotten what truly great espresso was like until we bought the Delonghi. This machine makes great coffee period. The strength and quality of drinks is highly adjustable to any taste as well as the volume. The variety of drinks that the machine will make with the tap of the touch screen is amazing. It is easy to maintain and lets you know when maintenance is needed. After researching fully automatic coffee machines for hours this is the one we selected and we are very happy. It is certainly not the cheapest machine but also not the most expensive. So far we feel it is worth the money. Read more

I was looking for a machine that was fully automatic in making espresso, this machine does not fall short and exceeds expectations! It makes consistent espresso every time and I don't have to worry about anything aside from keeping water and milk in the dispenser. I clean and empty it each day for proper maintenance, which is also very easy. This will be well worth the black friday cost in the future! Goodbye drip coffee!! Read more

I love to drink expresso coffee. But I can't get around very good anymore. I tried a Mika pot and liked the coffee it made. But when I purchased the Moka pot it only made 2 servings. I was wanting a lot more at one time. So, then I bought an manual expresso machine. That was a big mistake, I had to get the coffee grind just right and the to top that off I had to tamp the coffee grinds at the correct pressure. The manual expresso machine was returned because it never worked correctly ever since I took it out of the box. I purchased this automatic expresso coffee machine and so far I'm very impressed! I pour the coffee beans in the top of the machine and it does it all!!! I don't have to do anything else. So far I have only made items with just the coffee. But I plan on reading more in the instruction book and figuring out the cappuccino and other milk type drinks. This machine has so many other drinks to choose from that it will fix for you. The drip tray and used coffee grounds need dumped daily. It's so easy to do and not messy at all. I rinse the machine after I get my drink and I don't worry at all about it clogging up. I picked Starbucks expresso coffee beans to try in this machine. I was so amazed with the taste of the expresso that was made. I can taste the coffee long after I'm done. This machine does have a filter. The filter will last 3 months if you use it daily, but only 3 weeks if you don't. So, I get coffee several times a day. The temperature of the coffee is nice and hot, but you have to allow it to heat up and flush the lines with hot water. If, it's been setting on without brewing for a while all you need to do is do a manual hot water flush before you make your coffee. I know the expresso machine is on the pricey side, but it's worth every penny. It will take me a few months to pay off. Initially, I felt uneasy about purchasing it, but not now. Best investment I have made for myself. Read more
