I've had it now for little over 2 years. My husband uses it all the time. It works really well and makes great coffee. It might have problem with some off brands, or refillable pods with dripping, but if you use any of the name brand pods, the coffee is perfect every time. We get whatever is on sale. Amazon has good name brands and grocery stores have Lavazza, Llave, Pete's, even Starbucks (which I personally don't like). Yes, there is some dripping in the drip tray, but isn't that why it's there? I haven't found it to be an issue where I have to empty it frequently. Not if you use the right pods. I usually empty the drip tray when the used pods container gets full. I empty both at the same time. Again, this thing has been used daily for over a year and frequently for a total of 2 years and it works great every time and the coffee is perfect with the perfect amount of Crema. No complaints here whatsoever. In fact, I recommend it to all my friends and family. I had friends that had it now going over 7 years and they never had any issues with it. Which is the reason why I bought this model. I did add the extended warranty from Amazon, but it's going to run out in a few months and I never needed to use it. Read more

I had the same machine for 12 years and replaced it with this purchase when the old one started leaking through the bottom in between uses. In the meantime between my purchases, the cost-cutters have had a field day. There's no longer a dedicated off/on button; It drips much more heavily between uses and needs to be emptied without the bin even being full; the lever doesn't work as smoothly; and, last but not least, there's no longer a red light when the water is low. I accidentally started making it without water. It only ran for a few seconds and I turned it off and put the water in place. Now it doesn't work at all. This little thing is a big hit in my house. It's such a convenient thing that now lives next to our coffee maker. I didn't realize until I got it that these original style Nespresso machines can use compatible pods from a wide variety of coffee purveyors, not just Nespresso's own ones. We're currently enjoying some Peet's intense pods. This Pixie makes 1.4oz single shots (the amount I always called a double-shot) or 3.4oz Lungos, and you can reset the single button's cup size if you want a true single shot (ristretto 0.7oz). The included sample pods taste good. Now with a milk frother/heater (I didn't need the Aeroccino), morning latte, or cappuccinos are so unbelievably easy. Now espresso is not just for the weekends around my house! Why the DeLonghi model and not the Breville one? We've had a DeLonghi manual espresso machine for some decades now that continues to do such a good job, so I wanted to stick with a brand I know. The bottom line is that I might be the last person on the planet to get a Nespresso machine, but now I love the convenience of the concept and got exactly what I wanted with this DeLonghi Pixie. I guess I should also say the quality of Nespresso pods is also good. I really didn't like many Keurig pods. Usage tip: After you place the water in the tank upon the unit, try not to move it, else it will leak a little bit. If you don't move it, it won't leak. However, in the front, it will drip a little bit, so be sure to dump out the drip catcher every day of usage. Read more
