This was an Anniversary gift for my coffee-loving husband who enjoys a good fresh brew. It was his first espresso machine and from doing a lot of research, it is perfect for beginners. It can take some time getting familiar with all of the parts and learning about how to froth but it didn't take long before he was brewing a great cup of espresso. Now he makes specialty coffee drinks all the time. I also purchased a burr conical grinder after talking to friends and more research. It wasn't expensive and works wonderfully to get the right grind of beans. We haven't had any issues with leaking or anything else. The machine fits nicely on our countertop and I personally don't think it's loud. The frothing makes quite a bit of noise but worth it. Read more

Purchased this to replace an extremely old one. I'm still learning how to use it as my wife was always the one that made our espressos for us. I'm trying to treat her now since she takes such good care of me. I purchased this along with a new burr grinder and the combo works really well. This machine is great. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is perfect for espresso anytime. I'm only giving it a 4 star because I am 99% sure the one I got was used. It was missing the piece that presses the espresso down and it was dirty. Read more

I bought this because I was tired of spending so much money on going out and buying coffee. I like that it has two different espresso sizes to control the strength. I like that it has a steamer. It also doesn’t take up a lot of counter space. It is not self cleaning so you do have to clean it yourself which can take some time. Worth the purchase. Read more

I have never owned an espresso machine before, and this has been great for me. Easy to use, and hasn't given me any trouble. The one thing I will note is that the milk steamer runs out of steam fairly quickly, so I have had the most success warming my milk in the microwave a bit first, and then steaming it after to get the velvety texture I want. It’s an okay express for the price. It doesn’t make a very strong espresso, so I’m back to using my aero press. If you don’t need a very strong espresso this is a good coffeee express. I’d return it if my window didn’t close. Read more
