I purchased this after finding out I had gum issues, & with implants I’m doing everything I can to preserve healthy gum tissue. My bleeding gums have stopped altogether and I’ve only been using it for about 3 weeks. It’s definitely a winner for me, a lot of toothpastes cause me to gag if they’re too highly favored, this one doesn’t & I like that I know the herbs are helping my oral health. Usually I go cheap on toothpaste, give me something with fluoride and I'm good... After all, it's mostly the physical act of brushing that's cleaning the teeth, not the paste necessarily, right? Wrong! This Dental Herb Company toothpaste contains more plant derived oils (and bark) than I have ever seen in a toothpaste... Eucalyptus, lavender, thyme, aloe, cinnamon bark, peppermint oil... All of these ingredients have antiseptic, soothing and/or healing properties that my gums seem to love. It also contains no fluoride. I was blissfully unaware of the controversy surrounding fluoride use, but now that I am aware I am on board with avoiding it. 3 weeks ago I had a lot of dental work done and the dentist was not thrilled with the state of my gums. When I went back for a follow-up my dentist said my gums were looking much happier. I am going to attribute part of that to the thorough cleaning I got, but also to this natural, fluoride free toothpaste I've been using. Suffice to say, I adore this toothpaste! It feels good brushing with it, when I'm done my mouth feels super clean and my breath (according to husband) has never smelled fresher. When I ordered this toothpaste it was selling for $16.25 for three 1 oz tubes. Yes, that is pricey. But not as pricey as dental work that could have been avoided with better gum care. I love this all natural, fluoride-free, Sodium lauryl sulfate-free toothpaste. It cleans my teeth well without needing the foamy detergent cleanser from SLS. I get a mint essence from the peppermint oil and eucalyptus ingredients, and there’s also a hint of thyme in there. Overall, it’s a very refreshing formula, and it leaves my teeth feeling so clean, and my breath fresh after using it. I find myself running my tongue over my teeth after brushing my teeth with this – it just feels so good.
