This dental tool set is easy to use and works well for getting in most hard to reach areas in my mouth. I would prefer if they had one more tool in this kit, which would have a thinner dental pick to get into the tighter spots in my mouth. The mouth mirror fogged up often when I was trying to use it. The included storage case is the perfect size for keeping this kit organized. It has a vent on one side of the case to ensure that moisture does not sit in it. Full disclosure: not a dentist. I wanted these for myself because I'm tired of ramming my tongue and floss around my gob in a desperate attempt to dislodge an entrenched army of popcorn shells. Good news: it works! There are multiple tools that come in handy in my warfare against the corn menace: the mirror for getting a view, the picks for grabbing and scraping, the scaler for sliding under the gums for the stealthy enemies, and scrapers for when you need a wider assist. These have a nice texture to maintain a good grip and I'm not worried about dropping these down my throat. The handy plastic case is also pretty good to have in my drawer to keep the tools clean. Air holes are present so the tools can dry after a cleaning. As a stopgap for slaying the popcorn shell army I'm quite happy with the results. That said: you can do more harm than good scraping your enamel and giving plaque a new place to hide. This is no substitute for a professional cleaning and polish, but may prove useful for stubborn bits. Read more

These tools don’t have quite the fine touch that others do (the points are a bit thicker, which makes precise detail work a little harder), but they’re still effective and feel like a good quality. The variety among the tools is also nice, and the mirror is surprisingly useful. At the current $7 price, I think this is a good buy. The only thing I don’t care for is the venting in the bottom of the case. I’m guessing the vents are for air-drying, but they just make it so dust and dirt can easily get inside during storage. Since the item page has good photos, and it has a good description of this product, I will not bother adding pictures or more of a description. Nice set of dental tools. Seems to a good solid metal material. I wish it would have come with care instructions as far as cleaning. The product page only says "These heat-resistant tools can be quickly disinfected with hot water, allowing for simple and convenient cleaning and maintenance. " Shouldn't they provide information on care?... shouldn't it be a particular temperature or boiling water etc?... If you use this in your mouth, you really want to promote good hygiene, and don't want to introduce bacteria etc. The case supplied seems to be ok, but it has some openings.. I would rather have it in a sealed case to make sure they stay clean etc. Read more
