Always skeptical of buying random electronic devices from Amazon / China. But my desk area desperately needed better lighting as standard desk lamps just don't provide proper illumination, look good, or fit well on my already crowded desk space. When I saw this lamp, it pretty much looked like the perfect solution except for the clamp mount. But I knew the clamp mount would be the best choice for me because I could easily modify it to work in my office. I cut the clamping mechanism off with a grinder just below the base, then attached that base with 4 flat head screws to a narrow piece of hard maple. Then I screwed the wood base to my wainscot trim directly behind my monitor. Check the picture of it installed. This installation has virtually zero footprint, is rock solid, and completely out of sight. Simple to remove and patch tiny screw holes if my office layout ever changes. As for the light, it works flawlessly. Product material and goose neck operability is of far higher quality than I was expecting, Easy yet very firm. Looks and feels very premium. Wave feature is easy to operate. I have seen reviews stating the opposite. Mine works consistently and easily. Wireless remote puck offers quick access to color change feature, brightness, timer function, night lite, and reading mode. Just add 2 AAA batteries and it immediately starts controlling the light. Honestly, pretty shocked at how good this product is. So as I was adding some pics to include in this review, I noticed an email from the seller. The email informed me that when the telescoping feature is properly adjusted, it is not necessary to loosen and retighten every time you wish to adjust height, not something I cared about anyway, also in this "upgraded version", they have enabled the wave function by default. You can go into settings and disable if wanted. Maybe this is why people were complaining, they didnt know how to turn it on, IDK. Finally, and most importantly, they informed me that they are extending the warranty to 3 years for free! They mention something about due to issues of long distance shipping with delicate electronics, they understand damage may occur, and to please let them know ASAP if that is the case. They apparently are trying to be proactive. Not an issue for me either, but I am a bit surprised by the level of quality and customer care I've experienced with this purchase. The media could not be loaded. Had a different lamp that was on my desk which is still good but bright enough and also took up room. Came across this lamp and I absolutely love it! Arrived on time, packaging was delivered with no issues. -The setup was simple, chose to attach it to the back of my desk which allows me more space on my desk. -The neck of the lamp is very flexible and long enough to illuminate my whole setup. -Performance: the color and buttons work perfectly, however the auto turn off button ON the light itself is a little sensitive (not too much), if you’re directly in front of it and just so happen to raise your hand it will turn off, but wave again and it’ll come on! The light modes are great as well, still toying with them right now to find the right one for me. The remote doesn’t take up much room on my desk either, I like it a lot! -In conclusion, I’d say purchase this cause it’s definitely worth it. I work overnight so I don’t need a lot of lights on, this shines bright enough for the room itself but also just enough for my desk as needed (just change the light mode). Great desk lamp that gives great illumination on the desk surface. Lamp also illuminated the monitor, 52 inch screen, which is less than optimal. I had a difficult time reading information on my computer. I came across this desk lamp and after reading many reviews, I decided to purchase this and try it for myself. I work on a computer all day and I am a student in college. The desk lamp clamps on your desk and is easy to set up. I love the choice of settings on the two remotes that are provided such as how much light you need, the level of brightness, and reading modes. It also displays a night light reading mode which is a great feature. I give this Desk Lamp a high rating because I can now see and perform my computer work.
