Do you want to experience a strong emotional connection to music? Did you see video reviews of this and think 'aha something compact and full of beauty.' Do you want to hear bass in your chest? Are you willing to spend for it? Here is what will happen. You will buy this. It will arrive. You will spend hours setting it up. You will experience connectivity problems right away. Your app won't stay paired on bluetooth. It will do strange things to your network connection. You will spend ten minutes just fiddling with it before playing your music. You will ask friends not to try and connect to it with their devices because of additional configuration nightmares. You will experience displeasure. You will discover when you download the app and see on the App Store that others like you are also unhappy. It will sit there, taunting you until you go back to try again because you forgot how frustrated it made you. You will try. It will have the same problems. Or some new ones. You will be again frustrated and curse the object that did not meet the hype. Finally you will get a low quality streaming bluetooth connection...until you pick up your phone and move a few meters from the device...and bop the connection hiccups, which is audible in the music as a..hiccup. I recently travelled to Thailand and had a change to acquaint myself with Devialet. I am into good sound and audio equipment and was very impressed with the demo. Sound is great. I researched the product on the web and there really is not much out there in describing this product. When I returned to the states I purchased a pair of Phantom I and am so happy I did. The speakers look great, especially with the tree stands. Setup was very easy. The sound is awesome. The old adage is true: you get what you pay for. Unfortunately this is the best sounding Bluetooth I've ever owned, when it plays. Probably uncommon but the connection stuttering is insufferable. Android APP is useless and glitchy. Build quality is amazingly good. I would suggest getting the black version, as the white is a dirty fingerprint magnet. No matter how loud you play it, the sound does not translate into what it sits on. I would recommend to anyone who want the best sound quality money can buy!!! Read more

This speaker is something else. The range of sound it can produce is absolutely incredible, especially for such a small speaker. The low-end frequencies are unreal, I wasn't expecting it to be able to produce this kind of bass! It's so strong I actually had to adjust some hanging picture frame that started to rattle sometimes I haven't had a proper hi-fi speaker system since the Martin Logan towers and McIntosh setup I used to listen on. I wanted to get something that's high quality and looks beautiful without taking up too much room. I didn't want to get separate amps etc and then have big floor-standing tower speakers for the room I usually listen to music in. After doing my research, I was curious but also skeptical that Devialet would actually deliver, but this speaker really does. The clarity of sound is incredible, I'm streaming Hi-res lossless via Airplay in Apple Music and it sounds phenomenal.
