I purchased this, and a “TDAGRO Heat Gun for crafting 1800W” together. My thinking was to use the larger one for larger jobs, and this one for small, shrink wrap type jobs. I have had them both for well over a year, and I have yet to take the TDAGRO out of the box! This little guy is so perfect for any job! It’s small, so you can hold it almost like a pen, it’s powerful, able to handle even larger jobs with ease! I was really surprised at how hot it got on the high setting! For a little guy, it works amazingly! It’s design is also surprisingly comfortable at high heat. Obviously the metal tip gets hot; red hot! But the handle holds the heat well, and it doesn’t get too hot, like many other heat guns do. As for speed (going by Amazon’s suggestions lol), it’s a bit slow when you turn it on. It takes about 30 seconds to a minute before getting to full temp. That was kind of expected, however. I didn’t even think it would get as hot as it did! Haven't used for a long time so I can't speak about the durability, however it heats up very quickly and for the purposes of heat shrink I can almost immediately turn it on and start using it.
