This stainless knock box works as expected and it looks great on our espresso station. It is very easy to clean and has room for a dozen or so espresso pucks worth of spent coffee. The rubber part has held up well to the abuse of knocking the porta filter against it almost every day. I bought this knock box at the end of 2021 and was thinking today how amazingly it still looks. It is a little on the small side, but it is nice to tuck away for a home set up. I have been a barista and don't want a giant knock box like what I used in a commercial shop where I served sometimes hundreds of customers in a shift. The rubber is still in great shape with no cuts. The steel has not stained even with having pucks sitting in there for days (I empty mine every few days and only clean it occasionally). I almost never use soap, just water and rubbing so that may be why the rubber has lasted so nicely so long. Read more
This knock box is just the right size for the home espresso enthusiast. The knock bar has a covering of rubber, and the bar fits snugly into the box. It also has a rubber ring on the bottom, so it stays in place on the table. It cleans easily under running water. The stainless steel is a good thickness and it feels like it should last forever. I loved this knock box for the heavy duty stainless steel, the rubber covered bar, the great rubber on the bottom to hold the box in place, no plastic parts!! And I think it looks great. But ... the rubber of the rubber bar is easily cut by the steel notches it fits into. This is such a great product otherwise. Maybe someone can figure out how to pad the steel notches?? Please DIBStA, please fix this problem. It will be the best knock box by far of any out there, if only the problem is fixed! Read more
