My partner would only wear SAS socks for years until the day our local shop closed and we could no longer find them. That began several years of constant feet complaints and more shredded socks than I thought a grown adult could go through in a lifetime. I researched and bought my partner Darn Tough socks and it was as if SAS socks had never existed. Problem solved, right? DT socks are great and well worth the price with their lifetime guarantee, but only if one keeps track of their socks to be able to replace them. A pack of 5 Dickies socks cost as much as one pair of DT's which is a win right there. My partner says they are almost as comfortable--not quite as much padding, but definitely thicker than everything he tried except the SAS and DT socks. They last about as long as the SAS socks did but nothing lasts like DT socks so not holding that against these. And the 12-15 sizing is accurate, unlike a certain other popular work brand's socks whose size 13+ socks are snug on my woman's size 7 feet after the first wash. My husband wears his socks out fast and has a hard time finding socks that fit his feet. I am a bargain shopper so a couple times I tried to buy him socks I found on sale for cheap. The truth of the matter was when he wore his socks not only he knew they were cheap but so did I. Some of his socks would have a hole within days, some of them were too small and uncomfortable. So I started looking for some "good" socks for him. That is when again yea I found these on sale and they were Dickies which I know to be a well known company, so I bought them.I was not only happy they were on sale but also labeled "Work Socks." So the true test came when he wore the first pair to work and he said they fit perfectly no complaints. The second test was how long do they last? Truthfully I didn't put it on my calendar but I believe it was about a year ago when I bought the first set of these socks. I just reordered more not because of them being destroyed aside from a few holes they are still in decent condition but my dogs sometimes hide his socks and he needed more. Overall I will for now on stop buying "cheap socks" they end up costing me more money and him more aggravation. But I do recommend these to any man who has a hard time finding socks to fit due to having bigger then average size feet and/or wears them out quickly. Read more
