After surgery on my scalp, I needed a hair dryer for my curly hair that would not disturb my bandages. I wish I’d discovered this style of dryer long ago. I only always dry my hair with a diffuser attachment. This dryer works beautifully, is compact, easy to handle, lightweight in comparison to my ‘regular’ hair dryer and will be so much easier to travel with. It drys my hair quickly and is easier to aim. Has three speed/heat settings (I use #2). I've told my hairdresser about it as well. I wanted to add to my review after now using this dryer for four months. My bandages from my scalp surger are long removed and I’m still loving this dryer. It’s so much lighter and easier to handle than my old dryer and, as I expected, it’s easier to pack when I travel. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS DRIER!! I had never been successful using a diffuser UNTIL this one came into my life. Pink is my favorite color. I had bought different diffusers only to return every one of them. The value...you just can't beat the price. There are no changes or accessories; it is precisely what it looks like: simple and easy to use. It is lightweight and durable. I have dropped it a few times, and it is still working the same as when I bought it. The three heat levels are excellent. At first, I noticed I had over-dried it with too much heat, and the next time I lowered the setting to level 1, which is a cooler setting, the frizz was gone. I'm giving 5 stars just for how effective it is with keeping my curls neat and uniform. It's very lightweight and more comfortable than just having an attachment. It isn't very powerful; it doesn't have a very strong air flow and it does not dry hair very quickly. I spent maybe 25 minutes the first time I used it and my hair was only halfway dry. I have very thick hair though, sectioning and diffusing the top and bottom layer separately helps a lot. The highest heat level doesn't get very hot or intense, but thats not very surprising for something so lightweight. Overall, it works as it's supposed to. I like that it is all one unit, unlike the diffuser I have been using that constantly falls off my hair dryer. The cord swivels and doesn't get wrapped around diffuser. However, I wish there was heat on the 1st setting, as I prefer to dry my curls on low. I plan to keep it and use it, since it is an upgrade from what I have been using. I just wish it was a bit different. Here are the direct words from the directions that come with the diffuser, followed by my description of each setting. There are 3 settings 1. Low temperature for gentle drying and styling. (Quiet. Little to no heat. Takes a LONG time to dry hair.) 2. Medium air flow & temperature for gentle drying & styling. (A lot louder, possibly warmer, but if is, there isn't much heat. Drying hair still takes a long time.) 3. Strong air flow and high temperature for quick drying. I really like this light and effective dryer which diffuses my curly hair so that it drys quicker and doesn't become frizzy. It has a moderate heat level. If your hair is naturally curly it doesn't blow out the curl. It is very light and easy to manage. Simply use small amount of leave in conditioner and your favorite curl cream scrunch your hair use. It is usually best to dry the bottom of your hair first so for best results hang your head kind of upside down and start at the root. Read more
