This is an amazingly good little clock radio! Quite small, but the display is highly visible and readable. The sound of the radio is much better than you'd expect, given its compact size. Red LEDs, which are the only kind I can sleep near. The controls are easy to use, particularly setting & recalling the radio presets. I wouldn't hesitate to use one of these where all i needed was the clock, because it's small, nice looking and easy to read, and the radio and alarm features could always come in handy later. Perfect size: small and unobtrusive; yet buttons, labeling, and digits are large enough to see without glasses. Great sound is not tinny and it’s SUPER EZ to use — buttons clearly state their function — so no need to read instructions. Love the number of Memory buttons to pre-set your favorite stations + having a battery backup just in case the power goes out while asleep (keeps time & alarms will still go off). I bought (2) of these for our cats, to leave the radio on each floor while we’re away so they don’t feel so alone. I like many things about this small clock. I like being able to dim the numbers. I like the 2 alarms and you have 3 choices for the alarm sound and you can program each for a different radio channel. So glad I picked this radio over the others I looked at. I haven't tried the alarms yet as I haven't had the need. The radio, on the other hand works fantastic. Not only does it find all the locals on its own but the sound quality is amazing. So much better than the last one I bought, different brand name, which didn't even last a yr.
