Fails at the one thing it’s designed to do - measure temperature accurately. I put it in boiling water and it took 30 seconds to approach 207 F. Should have read 212 F. I let it cool to room temperature. My home thermostat reads 74 F and this thermometer read anywhere from 65 to 80 F within a 3 ft radius. Then, I put it in an ice bath and it read anywhere from 22 F to 34 F depending on movement in the bath. It should have read 32 F. For reference, I purchased a different digital thermometer on Amazon which advertised +/-2 F accuracy. It was within +/-1 F at the extremes and matched my home thermostat at 74 F. Didn’t the manufacturer verify that this worked before selling it? My finger would be a better thermometer. Read more
