✅ I waited to review this to see how it would hold up, and I can confidently say that this mat is well worth the price. I believe I paid about $30 and change over a year ago (about 16/17 months), and i haven’t had any issues. ✅The little weighted dents that are left in the carpet from the wheels, magically disappear in a couple hours. I have between light and medium ply carpet. I’ve moved this Mat to a couple different areas in my office and it has held up very well. It’s been in its current spot for about 7 or 8 months, and every once in awhile, I’ll have to pick it up to vacuum underneath it, (little paper crumbs seems to find a way under there🤔) and it’s protected the carpet magnificently. 🤯 ⏳As someone who has spent an embarrassing amount of time scrolling through reviews for various mats, searching for the cheapest, most reliable, carpet mat to buy, 🏆I’m very happy with my choice. i purchased this mat in aug 2022, and it finally started cracking now, almost 4 years later. It was used frequently as well, and it held up better than any other plastic mat ive had in the past. All the other mats Ive had would either tear up the carpet, or crack right down the middle, and become garbage within 2 years. They were also almost double the price. Now that i need a new one, i realized how long this one lasted, so i immediately looked through my purchase history and was happy to see its still being sold. Just purchased a 2nd one, and highly recommend it especially if you are someone that spends a lot of time in a computer chair, and have experienced how annoying some of these chair mats can be. Very durable and thick, but the smell is overly pungent. I kept thinking a skunk was outside my window, but soon realized it was the mat. Today is day 2, and the smell is still lingering but not as bad. Overall I’m pleased. It was very easy to roll out and put heavy objects on the corners to flatten. However, when it arrived there was excess plastic not entirely trimmed off. It’s not completely clear and has more of a blue tint. Although this does not bother me. I bought this pad in 2023 and needed to replace it after 2 years. This is probably OK since I use my desk every day. This unit was eventually flat, stiff, easy to roll and provided proper floor protection. To replace this unit, I bought one from Sallous because it was a little cheaper. I've been rolling on the Sallous one for 1-2 days now after laying it out flat and putting ottoman on it. I feel like the Sallous mat is harder to roll on and I can still see waves but maybe they will eventually flatten. What's not clear is if a unit bought today is identical to what I bought in 2023. Horrible chemical smell to the mat. Kept it outside for a few days and brought it back in and it’s still smelled. Washed it down with soap and water, let it sit outside for a couple more days to dry. After all that, the mat still had a strong chemical smell to it. My wife said she would put it in her office, after one day of working in her office she was coughing and didnt feel good. Threw the mat outside. I contacted the company and told them what I did, rep said that I did what they would recommend. Rep mailed me a new mat. I had the same problem with the new mat. I contacted the company again and rep said they would send me a refund check. Company sent me a refund check but made out to the street I live on. Contacted the company again and they said they would send me another check, never saw a check. I finally gave up on this mat and the company and went to go to my local Office store to get a mat. Comes tightly wound up - will see how long it takes to lay flat. Like my old Amazon essentials one better. This is already showing showing imprints from desk chair. Plastic is too soft and has a strange texture that seems more rubber than plastic. It will work but I would go with something else if I had to do it over. Read more
