This is a neat little bank. There are some caveats that a potential buyer should know beforehand. β’ Good variety of ports. 2Γ USB A, 1Γ USB C, & 1Γ USB Micro. β’ It is a tight fit for the three 18650s. It'll only fit flat tops, not button tops. β’ There's as a sticker like surface were the batteries sit. Not a pro nor con. Just know that it's there. β’ Once the cover in closed in, that's it. It is now locked in placed. So if you need to change out the 18650s, you'll have to (literally) break into it. β’ The flashlight it has is a decent color temperature. Wish they could be a little brighter IMHO. Not a deal breaker, just know that it's there. β’ Its small size & potential high capacity does make this an ideal bank for your pack, purse or whatever you have as a carry along. Aside from the locking case, it's a good recommendation. If they made it so the backing could be removable for battery access, I'd give it a solid 5. Because it is what it is, I'll give it a β . There's a lot to like here. You can bring your own 18650 batteries, there's no soldering or other configuration/setup required, it's got a three-level light function, it's fairly small, and it looks pretty cool. Overall fit/finish is surprisingly good for such a cheap unit. It's got two USB-A (full size) output ports, along with USB-C and MicroUSB input ports. As far as I can tell, the USB-C port is input only (for charging the internal batteries) and does not work to charge other devices. The real problem with this thing is that the battery access door was designed to put in place only once and never again to be removed. This is insane. The whole point of a kit like this is so that you can swap out the batteries as needed when they age out (or for any other reason). This one "feature" nearly ruins the whole product. Luckily I was able to slip a thin knife blade between the seams of the door and pry it back open. You'll have to slightly break at least one or two of the locking tabs to be able to get it back open. But at least now I can remove the back when needed. Another minor gripe (which would have been considered unforgivable 10 years ago) is that while it does come with a very small instruction sheet, the sheet is for a different product and has no useful info for the power bank in the box. So this is more of a good option for the DIY / tinkerer type that doesn't mind figuring things out on their own and making some tweaks. Not recommended for someone looking for a 100% finished product that is ready to go. Read more
The unit I received will charge anything I plug into it for about 2 minutes then shut off, so not so useful if you are not monitoring it 100% of the time! Read more
