What I like about this dress is that it's really versatile. It pairs perfectly with belts, jackets, sweaters, and shawls. It has a higher neckline, so it will work well with scarves, long necklaces, and it can even work well with shorter necklaces and chokers. But the style is really well suited to show off a chunky necklace. The fabric is stretchy and comfortable. The upper part of the dress is a knit fabric with a good amount of stretch. The bottom is a mix of a stretchy black lining fabric, and it has a semi-sheer pleated chiffon over the top. I love that the chiffon is a little bit longer than the lining fabric, because I like seeing the pretty sheer fabric pleats at the bottom of the skirt. The fabric is what I would consider a medium-weight, which is suitable for all seasons. It's decently warm, but not too warm. It will work for summer or winter, if a jacket is worn over the dress. The dress fits true to size. I currently wear size 12, and the dress fits perfectly everywhere. The length reaches just below my knees, and this is the length that I prefer. The color is a true black, and this works well to pair with pretty much everything! I had some fun styling this dress with some different shoes, belts, and even a jacket to show how versatile it is. Given the basic style of this dress, it is perfectly suited for almost any occasion. It will work well for work, relaxed shopping, out to dinner, and even more fancy events, all depending on how it's accessorized, of course. So cute! Okay so first of all this dress is way too easy to put on. I was honestly expecting a whole battle with the zipper and it just goes right up like it wants to be worn by me specifically. The neckline sits perfectly and the sleeves do this cute little flutter thing that makes it look classy but still fun and not too serious which I love Once it is on the fit is actually so good. The top feels smooth and comfy and then the skirt just does this little swishy thing every time you move. The pleats make me feel like I should be twirling in slow motion somewhere with sparkles in the background. It does not feel tight or awkward at all and it kind of hugs the right places without trying too hard The build quality feels really nice too. The fabric is soft but still has that structured look like you actually tried to dress up even though you barely did anything. It feels like it can survive a full day of running around or a night out without getting all sad and wrinkly. The lining also feels smooth and not annoying which is amazing because some dresses feel like sandpaper on the inside I also love how easy it is to style. Throw on a cute jacket and suddenly it is fall vibes. Add a cardigan and it is all cozy girl energy. Add heels and you are dramatic fancy lady. This is a pretty dress, and it even arrives on a hanger in a garment bag, which surprised me. I was in need of a new black dress and this fits the bill. This dress is high quality. The seams are great. The material is thick. The top is a thicker knit. The pleated skirt is really lovely. I was so excited to get this! I ordered a 14 which was a mistake. It already runs large. I think a medium 8 or 10 would have been perfect for me. I am 5'3 155 pounds. It is also long, so if you are not petite this is not your dress. I am considering taking it in. I think a high quality dress like this will be worth the price to get hemmed and cinched. Love this dress! 4.5 stars from me, minus the 0.5 because of slight issues with fit (a bit large for a size 2, and NOT PETITE FRIENDLY!). The pleating on the bottom is gorgeous, and the style overall is very chic but modest and versatile. It's very good quality too - the pleating is precise and very well done, the top is made of a thick material (or has a lining) , and the skirt has a lining as well. The construction is excellently done, with no loose threads, pilling, etc. and the dress is made of smooth and good quality fabric, with no flaws, pilling, etc. It is very comfortable as well. I think this dress is excellent value overall, as it provides a luxurious experience that more than matches the price. My only gripe is the fit, which just didn't work for me. I'm 5'2 and 105lb, and the size 2 was a bit large on me all around (chest, waist, hips)... but mostly was VERY long on me. The waistline fell well below my actual waist (and I've got a low waistline!) and was loose around even my hips, which makes me think there might be some vanity sizing going on -- no offense, but I feel like the waistline should not fit around my hips easily. I am a petite woman trying on a non-petite dress, so I won't penalize for the length, but I will deduct 1/2 star for the large sizing, especially considering how essential the dress hugging the waist/waistline definition is with longer, single-color dresses like this. 4.5 stars!!
