**Doctor's Recipes Iron Supplement for Women & Men, 65mg from Ferrous Bisglycinate Sulfate Carbonyl Iron with Vitamin C** I sampled the Doctor’s Recipes Iron Supplement after reading about its triple-iron blend designed for energy and blood support. Each tablet combines Ferrous Bisglycinate, Carbonyl Iron, and Ferrous Sulfate, providing 65 mg of elemental iron. I was drawn to the claim that it’s non-constipating and gentle on the stomach, which has been an issue for me with other iron supplements and indeed they were. The tablets are small, smooth, and easy to swallow, which makes daily use much simpler. During my first week of use, I noticed an improvement in my energy levels and less mid-afternoon fatigue. I tend to have low iron levels, and this formula seemed to make a difference without any of the digestive discomfort or nausea that I’ve experienced in the past. The inclusion of 50 mg of Vitamin C per tablet is a thoughtful touch, purportedly helping with absorption and supporting the immune system at the same time. I appreciated that the label was clear and transparent about its ingredients, all of which are vegan and free from common allergens like soy, gluten, and dairy. I’ve now been using the supplement consistently for several weeks, and I’ve continued to feel more alert and less sluggish. My digestion hasn’t been affected, and there’s been no constipation or stomach irritation. I also like that the product is made in the USA in a GMP-certified facility, which adds confidence in its quality and purity. The bottle contains 60 tablets, which is a full two-month supply if taken once daily—good value for the price point. While it’s not flavored, there’s a faint mineral taste if it sits on the tongue too long, so swallowing it promptly is best. Beyond that, I’ve had no complaints. It’s a straightforward, well-made supplement that delivers what it promises: effective iron support without the side effects. **Pros:** ✅ Gentle on the stomach, non-constipating formula ✅ Noticeable improvement in energy and focus ✅ Includes Vitamin C for better absorption ✅ Vegan, allergen-free, and made in the USA ✅ Easy-to-swallow tablet size **Cons:** ❌ Slight mineral taste if not swallowed quickly ❌ Limited retail availability outside of Amazon Read more
If I miss a day of iron while on my period I feel it almost immediately and it can sometimes take months to fully recover. So - trying new iron supplements can be risky if they don’t work. These worked seamlessly (65 mg is my usual amount on top of a multivitamin that also has iron). I only learnt recently how important vitamin C was in absorbing iron and now will only get iron supplements that include it, so I am happy to see this does. No stomach issues, even when I used these on a fairly empty stomach and just a sip of water (not ideal, I was in a rush). I just wish there was clear certification documents as some other brands have with third party testing - taking supplements for my health but then not seeing proof of quality from a third party makes me a little nervous. I am very pleased with this Iron supplement. I always make sure to buy Ferrous Bisglycinate Sulfate Carbonyl Iron to help with absorption, which this is. The tablets are small and easy to swallow. I haven't experienced any digestive discomfort while taking these. I tend to experience low Iron levels/ Anemia which sometimes occurs around the time of my monthly cycle. I have not had one of these episodes since starting to take this supplement so that is a big win! Read more
Replaced the iron pills I took with these for a month, doctor ordered blood work and said my iron levels had evened out. I have to assume these work as they should! :) No weird smells, easy to swallow and they work. The price is fair and we will probably order these again based on my test results showing that it works! After weight loss surgery my iron levels have suffered and I had to start taking supplements. I'm really happy with this brand. I've been able to get my iron numbers up where they need to be by adding this into my routine. The added Vitamin C helps with absorption, which is a big part of the issue for me in the first place. I haven't notice any negative side effects, stomache issue, or anything like that. The pills are easy to swallow and about the size of an ibuprofen. The bottle lasts me about two months and is a fair value. Read more

This iron supplement has been easy to take and gentle on the stomach — no nausea or constipation, which is usually the big concern with higher-dose iron. The tablets are small and go down easily, and the added vitamin C is a nice touch for absorption. Still early in using it, but energy feels a bit better, and it’s nice not having to pair it with a separate vitamin C drink. Packaging is good, clearly labeled, and everything arrived sealed properly. Overall, a straightforward, no-nonsense iron supplement that seems to work well without the usual side effects. Read more
