This solution is less effective than the zymox 1% cort., I recommend it over this one although its twice the price. And its more effective and can stop bacteria/fungi from spreading as it 'coats' the ear. This VOSIFSDIY brand doesnt have that coating but feels more like ear cleaner than a treatment. Read more

My cat had what I thought were ear mites, but turned out to be a yeast infection according to the vet. I used a prescription antifungal (which, as anything obtained at the vet, was ridiculously expensive), which seemed to resolve the problem for the most part. But there is some residual black gunk and I'm using these drops to keep it from getting worse and requiring another vet visit. So far it seems to be helping and I'm hoping that using it prophylactically will prevent another yeast infection. My cat absolutely hates having drops of any sort put in his ears, no matter how much I warm them up, so I've been soaking a cotton ball with these drops and then just rubbing inside of his ear, which he tolerates much better. These aren't inexpensive, but considerably less expensive than prescription medicine. So I hope it continues to work. And you can get it cheaper through subscribe and save too.
