I’m giving 3 stars because initially it worked great, but that only lasted a week and a half. Now I can hardly get it to work! I’m constantly having to turn it off and on to get it to work but it won’t stay working. I rely on this collar to keep my dog safe from my neighbors that are always trying to trap her. I have 3 dogs. One of them is a rescue German Shepherd that just arrived 10 days ago. She likes to lick and eat her own urine and feces. That is a major problem when the dog comes with parasites like giardia and is on medication. I have another German Shepherd. She is a year and half, exactly the same age as the rescue, has had absolutely no urgent behavior issues and never trained her with an e-collar. So, I’m stating here that I’m for positive training and all but I also know that for some behaviors, e-collars work a lot quicker, sometimes in one use. Situations like poop eating needs immediate correction and does not have time for “praise, reward and repeat” practice. If you know the basic of dog training, for any behavior corrections, timing is very important. You cannot tell a dog not to eat her poop when she is not attempting, not doing it. And this is where this product failed. When I needed it to beep and vibrate, it didn’t. Because the transmitter was asleep and needed 2 seconds to wake up. The opportunity was lost because she knows I do not like this behavior, so she nibbled on it quickly and ran while I was struggling with the transmitter. I wouldn’t mind if this was an issue like unnecessary barking that would probably happen again in 10 minutes. But she does #2 twice a day and now I have to wait for 12 hours and need her to do it again while I do not want her to do it again. On top of this, twice the collar beeped and vibrated without me touching the buttons on the transmitter. I brought this up to the seller/manufacturer’s attention and their response was that their product department was researching the issue because it (loose, sensitive buttons) had been brought up before. So I’m going back to PATPET e-collar. I have one on my Doberman. The reason I got his first e-collar was because he liked to clean my cats’ butts to a point it caused UTI in one of them. I needed him to stop ASAP after a $300 vet bill. The job it does is on point, VPM must be slightly less than this product but performance is way better overall. While Yobuno explains sleep/lock mode is for safety reasons, I’m not someone who walks around with the transmitter in my rear pocket, zapping my dog without knowing. I appreciate the efforts and thoughts but PATPET just wakes the transmitter up by pressing any button, does not have to be “held” for 2 seconds. I zapped my Doberman once when he did not stop licking those plump stinky cat bottom after a beep and vibration. He no longer goes for it, hence I removed prongs on my PATPET collar and covered it with electrical tape. I just use the beep for recall when he is far is all. I’ll be returning this product for another PATPET collar. I do not think I’ll get one that comes with 2 collars and one transmitter because I do not want to have to lose one second to switch from Dog 1 to Dog 2. Again, the timing and consistency are things you cannot miss in dog training. And this product at this time does not guarantee both. Read more

Fantastic collar, easy to use with a loud clear “Beep” and strong vibration. The only weak link in the collar as a whole, is the plastic portion where the nylon collar attaches to the electronic portion. The first collar broke, but customer service was fantastic and quickly replaced it. The replacement broke in the same place. Read more
So the packaging is pretty nice, come in a nice black box, I like that is rechargeable but the directions aren’t the best, I don’t like that it locks it self after 15 mins and then shuts off in a half hour, I have missed many teaching moments because I’ve had to restart it and by that time it’s to late, also when I turn it back on it won’t connect to the collar and I have to go push the button on the collar to get it to work, I need to push the button to beep it so I know it’s working still every 10-15 mins…it’s more work than I need it to be, so I’ll have get a different one!! If you don’t mind the hassle of it then it’s not a bad device but it’s kinda a pain in the butt!! Read more
It’s cheap and cheap. I honestly don’t know if this ever worked before the clasp broke within the first week. The old dog scratches on the door once when he’s ready to be inside. The new puppy thinks that is what you do for attention. Opening the door to scold was defeating the purpose. The instructions are written to be simple but do not make sense. The collar broke within a week of use and she only had it on her a couple hours a day.
