This is such a great, multipurpose collar. Firstly, I wanted a white collar. My dog is primarily white and it just looks terrible when they have those clunky black plastic collars, I think. This collar is soft Nylon and has smooth lines that look much less aggressive than the traditional black shock collars. Next, I really just wanted a collar that beeps. I needed a training tool for my pup who is somewhat hard of hearing. She LOVES to run, we have a 5 acre property, and the wind blows here quite often. Needless to say, I don't want to be shouting at her constantly across five acres, and she likely wouldn't hear me anyway. I trained her to come with the beep option, which she very eagerly does. I started off when she was about 6 months old giving her treats every time it beeped. Eventually the vibrate option became either the, "no" response to unwanted barking, or in response to her ignoring the first beep. When she sees the collar she knows it is time to go outside. I can't imagine walking her off leash or letting her run free on our property without it on, and she doesn't ever go out without it on, but we don't leave it on in the house. It is a total lifesaver. It stays charged well, the remote is easy to hold, use and program and all around the Roffie has been a game changer! I loved the beep option to call her in from across the yard quietly (without having to shout or whistle, which of course the neighbors hear). I liked it so much, I bought one for my older dog (who has selective hearing ;) ) just to eliminate yelling and whistling entirely. Read more

This is my second one. The first one only broke because someone used it as a collar for the dogs leash. This thing has been put through the wringer with my bird dog wearing it. It’s lasted through lakes, creeks, mud puddles and being bashed through switchgrass and the woods. Decent quality with a great battery life. The large buttons on the controller make it easy to use. I am a professional dog handler and take groups of dogs (5-8) pack hiking off leash on trails around the Salt Lake Valley every day, rain, snow or shine! I bought this collar for my own dog who comes with me every day. He's very well trained (is an autism therapy dog for our 8 year old) but he's SUPER social and sometimes forgets his training on trail when he greets other dogs excitedly. I got this to gently remind him when needed to listen and remember his training. All I needed was the vibration for that purpose, so I've never actually used the shock feature. What I love about this collar and why I bought it is because it has the slimmest profile of any I have seen in this price point with a good long distance connection. I wanted it to be comfortable on my dog which it is. It's extremely thin and light weight as e collars go and I have seen and tried them all with my clients! I like this one enough to have recommended it to clients and some have bought and use it as well and they like it too! The only thing I don't like about it is that the remote has no hook or hole or any means of attaching it to my backpack or to a lanyard, which may not be a big deal for a single dog owner, but for me, I REALLY need it to be able to attach to my backpack somehow since I have to juggle up to 7 other dogs besides my own with their collars and remotes, too. I hate that this one has to live in one of my pockets and I have to dig it out to use it. Also, I wish it had better strap management for the excess strap material. It tends to flap around. I solved that problem by using some medical gauze to secure it around the strap as you can see in the photos. Besides that however, it's a great combo and I can definitely recommend it for dogs that only need vibration reminders to remember their training or to put their listening ears on. I can recommend! I was very skeptical. I knew I needed some help and researched training collars but never could commit to buying one. I found this and had a good feeling. I am so glad I purchased! My dog is an 80lb blue heeler/collie/hound mix. She is a reactive dog wth some serious anxiety and self control issues. After an incident where she chased some livestock (thankfully that's all she did) i decided I needed to do something. This collar works amazing. She is truly learning how to behave around different situations. She is a 2.5 years old and I haven't worked with her like I planned but this device is picking up my slack. It has 3 settings. The beep, vibration and shock. The beep and vibration work in 90% of situations but when I have to use the shock, it's set at a 5 out of 16. I testing this level on myself first and felt just a slight ting. It doesn't hurt her but it gets her attention when she is beyond reasoning with or in a dangerous situation. Best collar I have tried (between three brands), compact/discreet, sleek. I definitely would recommend this option, especially since it is dual channel and can be paired when 2 dogs are being trained at once. user friendly remote has recessed buttons for less likelihood of an incident of remote being set off while in your pocket. Range and battery life are very impressive (again by my own personal opinion and comparison). Has been reliable for over 2 years (all-weather and all-environment). Accidentally let my pup get in the ocean with the collar on, still worked/works after and has never malfunctioned. Sandy, salt water and air exposure, rainy day walks, so its reliable in my book.
