The only reason I gave them a three is because the handle is pretty comfortable and the primary razor does a decent job, but not if you have a few days of growth. Ever since they changed their products in the past couple of years, the quality is completely different. My biggest gripe is that the trimmer blade Does not work at all. I even returned blades to have them re-shipped thinking it was a defect and they are exactly the same. The flip back trimmer is important to me and it is pretty much non-functional with this brand. This set with blades, weighted handle and shave gel really exceeded my expectation. I had mostly used Gillette before, which worked fine, had no serious objections. However, I decided to give the Dollar Shave Club set a try and ... it was much better. Effortless shave. The gel was good, though I think a lot of shave gels are fine. I also had no idea that I'd like the weighted handle so much. Until I tried it, I didn't know I was missing it. In summary ... this product outperforms the Gillette I have used for a long time, and it's less expensive. The handle also helps a lot in both feel (the weight gives it kind of a Mercedes door feel ... very satisfying) and in balance (sharp blades plus good balance leads to safe effortless shaving.
