This set with blades, weighted handle and shave gel really exceeded my expectation. I had mostly used Gillette before, which worked fine, had no serious objections. However, I decided to give the Dollar Shave Club set a try and ... it was much better. Effortless shave. The gel was good, though I think a lot of shave gels are fine. I also had no idea that I'd like the weighted handle so much. Until I tried it, I didn't know I was missing it. In summary ... this product outperforms the Gillette I have used for a long time, and it's less expensive. The handle also helps a lot in both feel (the weight gives it kind of a Mercedes door feel ... very satisfying) and in balance (sharp blades plus good balance leads to safe effortless shaving. The kit is nice would be nicer to have a travel carry all available,The shaving gel is great a little goes a long way and the smell is refreshing. The razor handles well but the blades are not the best you try and slide it without pressure but it snags and cuts like the blades are dull. Read more

The only reason I gave them a three is because the handle is pretty comfortable and the primary razor does a decent job, but not if you have a few days of growth. Ever since they changed their products in the past couple of years, the quality is completely different. My biggest gripe is that the trimmer blade Does not work at all. I even returned blades to have them re-shipped thinking it was a defect and they are exactly the same. The flip back trimmer is important to me and it is pretty much non-functional with this brand. I’ve been using this razor since since late may and it’s been phenomenal ! The blades are nice and sharp, the handle is grippy, good weight and the head pivots really well. I’m coming from a supplyco safety razor and I wasn’t impressed with their razor or price. Albeit, I used it to shave my head and that’s where the problem was. Now you have a bit of context I can go into more detail about the DSC RAZOR. Super smooth razor, zero hang ups, that sixth blade is amazing for edging up or cleaning smaller hairs on your ears and etc. I received the bundle which came with their shaving cream and again it’s awesome. I typically just use hand soap and call it a day but this shaving cream smells great, minty and feels awesome after a shave. The last part of this review which is the cherry on top is the pricing… very fair pricing as these blades definitely last. I’m still on the first cartridge and still going strong. This guy here is a fan and I will be trying other DSC products for sure. This is a guaranteed win win!! Read more
