The item worked great for 2-3 weeks and then today the light turned off. Assumed the bulb was burnt out and went to replace it. Upon doing so the bulb fixture did some minor sparking but didn’t work. Got my other fixture and the bulb worked fine. Thought about getting a replacement for the item but the hassle to do so just isn’t worth it. Having to either pay to drop off at ups or go a decent ways away for another store would cost more than the light is worth especially knowing it’ll only work for a short period of time. Buyer beware. it was bought for my tarantula and then she DIED💔 although it did well for her. it does well for me too since i get cold alot!!! size is small and compact but does big wonders :3 it also lights up a room REALLY well, the only thing is the adjustment features are wonky, but overall great, and heat level is slightly high so keep it at a distance from your tanks for your arachnids, bugs, and reptiles. We use this for a small Green Anole Lizard. It keeps his cage nice and warm. Do not use For longer than 6 hours. It can get hot. You cannot dim the light, you turn it on and that’s what you get. It’s easy to install, you just clip it to the cage. ( we clip it to the side of the cage) Read more
The media could not be loaded. Going on 2 days of having the lamp. The first day for about half the day it took my red eared turtle some time to get used to something new on his tank (both light & basking grass ramp were new to him) and he would just hide away from it. But then I noticed him happier and sure enough he started basking and getting a greater apetite (which is one of the things a UVA UVB light should promote) and sure enough I noticed him start basking, second day having it he's basking alot more he seems to really like this light. I did follow the box instructions and I turn it off every 6hrs until cools down (about 20mins) then turn it back on again since turtles are supposed to bask for about 10-12hrs a day on and off. The brightness on the lamp is great. The design is too, its sturdy and doesn't seem cheap. Im pleased so far and it was a great price too. I hope bulb lasts! Read more
