I’ve been looking for a standard style razor to shave my head in the shower. Disposable triple blades were nice but got too expensive to keep replacing every week. The blades for this are MUCH cheaper and actually this single blade does so much better for my use case. Closer shave and the weight is perfect for just letting it rest and do the job with no added pressure during shaving and I have precision control. The slightly longer handle makes it easy for a guy like me with bigger hands too. Read more
Old school razor. Reminds me of what I watched my father shave. Extremely economical. I highly recommend. Read more
I think it's a great razor well made, and has a nice balance. But do yourself a favor and dump the blades that come with it. I tried them a couple times and got a bad razor burn using light pressure. So I ordered some Wilkinson Sword Classic blades and have no razor burn! Read more
I simply love this razor I have purchased a few safety razors for more money but this razor is badd to the bone it's got a long handle and the balance is incredibly delightful and it's put together better than some of my expensive razors and a very close and clean shave get it Read more
For years I have been using one of those multi blades with fancy swiveling head and used to get a good number of decent shaves per disposable cartridge, as time went by the quality of blades went down so did the number of shaves per cartridge adding insult to injury prices kept going up and up (don’t know why, just cheap plastic and absolute minimum amount of metal), last month I went to buy a bulk pack of these cartridges and I got a high dose of sticker shock, it was priced a little under $90 for less than 30 cartridges in the pack, not a problem if I could get a good number of shaves per cartridge like before, no way with current quality of these blades. Needless to say I didn’t buy any instead decided to do it the old fashion way using a no frills single replaceable under a dollar blade with more shaves per blade than any of those fancy manual shavers out there, I’m happy with quality of the stainless steel handle and so far the open and close mechanism for inserting and removing the shaving blade has stayed nice and tight without rattling or coming loose a good sign of better manufacturing process and I hope it would stay that as long as I’m using it. Word of ADVICE to those planning to switch like I did;;; it takes a little practice to learn how to shave with this type of shaver if you’re used to the cartridge types. Read more
Great razor f/price. Slightly toward the aggressive side compared to most cheap razors. Was able to get a close shave. Comparable to a classic Gillette adjustable razor set at a setting of 6 out of 10. (10 being the closest - sharpest). I recommend this razor. If you are new to shaving with a double-edge safety razor, this is slightly more prone to nick you compared to many other cheap razors that don't shave as close. If your experienced; this is excellent and won't disappoint. If your considering this as your 1st DE razor, just be extra careful the first 5 shaves until you get the feel for it. Don't push at-all like commonly done with a disposable or cartridge razor. Consider this razor twice as sharp (actually it's how close the blade is, not really "sharp"). If you proceed with caution - you will be fine. FYI... Folk new to DE shaving typically settle on a razor at this level of aggressiveness after they master the process. Read more
My husband LOVES this razor. There may be a touch of autism there because he says the weight of the razor is perfect. Kind of like when you get a really nice pen and it’s got some weight to it. I don’t know it scratches the autism some way, I guess, but it also gives him a really smooth shave. Anyway, I’m not really the type of person to leave reviews, but I had to for this one because my husband loves it so much. 10/10. Probably one of the better gifts that I’ve gotten him considering he uses it every day. Read more
