Reggie's Jupiter razor is the best example of an aluminum razor that I have shaved with, by far. I could go down a list of aluminum and titanium razors that I have tried and returned. I was always looking for the right balance of design, appearance, and an outstanding shave. The Jupiter excels in every way. Aluminum is an ideal material for a safety razor. With a nice sharp blade the weight of an aluminum razor is perfect for getting through a few days' growth, assuming that the razor is in the 40gm to 50gm range. There was one aluminum razor that I tried that was far too light. The Jupiter is in the sweet spot at 40 grams. I prefer top caps that don't enforce a particular angle (like the Henson)), which requires an angular, flat top cap vs a rounded top cap, which the Jupiter has. I prefer finding the proper angle for the various contours of my face without a top cap forcing an angle. The fit and finish of The Jupiter is exceptional. The grip texture is the best I've felt on any safety razor. There's no chance of your fingers slipping with the Jupiter handle. Along with all that goodness you get a brilliant travel tin and an assortment of five (two each) well known blades to try out, delivered in a mini tin. The Reggie Jupiter is an outstanding example of an aluminum safety razor. You won't be disappointed. Read more
I recently switched from cartridge razors to a double edged safety razor and tried many brands. This is by far my choice. The angle feels just right and the razor is very maneuverable. No nicks, cuts or irritation. Heavier razors are touted to be better but this aluminum one does the job to my complete satisfaction. Read more

I have recently been in the market for a new razor as I am tired of the expensive blades of the large brands. This razor is a great solution that will save me a lot in the long run. Reggie's Razor Jupiter come in sleek packaging that would make a great gift. The packaging ensures that the product will be in pristine condition on arrival. The body of the razor feels sturdy yet is notably more light weight that similar products. The razor comes with a variety box of blades to try out with the product. The angle of the blade when seated is just right as to get an extremely close shave but not tug against the skin. This razor is able to do simple maintenance work as well as mow down some pretty rough stubble. My facial hair is medium coarseness and this blade was able to shave my face clean with 1 pass on my face and 2 passes near my jawline with little to no tug. I have gotten about 5-6 shaves out of each blade before tugging became more noticeable, this was easily fixed by swapping the blades. As with most of my experience with safety razors, the blades can be extremely sharp with little forgiveness causing some minor cuts as I got back in the groove of using the single blade. Once you get the hang of it the Jupiter can give you a closer shave with less passes than the big box multi razor heads that are so popular. tl;dr: This blade would make a great gift for yourself as well as others. The quality of the product is appropriate to its pricing and in the long run this product is going to save me a ton! Read more
The media could not be loaded. This is a great razor for someone looking to get into safety razors with actual blades. The product is lightweight, it's precisely machined with very close tolerances and quite the work of art. I love that it came with a 10 pack of razor blades, giving you a variety of blades from different manufacturers that are all pretty well known and respected so that you can find the right blade for your skin type and hair type. They didn't just throw in some cheap razor blades to get you started, they gave you some of the best razor blades you can find. The container the blades come in can be used to store old blades, which is a nice touch. The razor itself has three components, the handle, the blade base and the blade cap. The fit between these components is perfect, the blade fits without any play or wiggle room. As you can see in the photos the blade does have a positive exposure, meaning it sticks out slightly past the guards. This is a well-made product from England that should last forever, with it being aluminum it is not going to rust. It is well balanced and there is just enough engraving on the shaft to give you a good grip, there is a discreet logo underneath the razor head. This would be a beautiful addition to anyone's morning routine and it looks great on the counter. Quick update, I've been using this all week and am pleased with the closeness of the shave. It has a sufficient gap between the blade and the guard bar to trap and remove hair without clogging. Only thing I would change is to make the top cap polished for a smoother gliding action. Great razor regardless. Read more
This razor definitely feels premium. It’s made of aerospace aluminum and you can tell it’s got some weight to it, but not too heavy. The grip is textured, which I liked because it didn’t slip even when I was shaving with wet hands. I’ve mostly been using it at home just to clean up the edges of my beard and neck, and it gives a super close shave. You have to go a little slower than with a disposable because it’s a double edge safety razor, but the results are worth it. My skin felt smooth and no razor burn, which I usually get with cheap razors. Comes with 10 blades too, so you’re good for a while. It’s not for quick on-the-go stuff, but for home use, especially if you want a cleaner look, this is a good pick. Read more
