Down Sleeping Bag for Adults 600 Fill Power Ultralight Compact with Compression Sack for Backpacking Camping Hiking

Nice! I haven't used this for camping yet, but it will surely be very good. Slept in it on my bed with the windows open on a cold night, and it's a very warm, comfortable bag with plenty of room for tossing and turning. Have had many bags over the years, and this one looks to be very good. The temperature rating seems pretty accurate. Nice, dense amount of down filler, quality stitching, solid zipper, and overall good construction. The stuff sack isn't great- kind of thin material and it could be just slightly bigger to make stuffing easier. Not a big deal as I have others. It does, however, come with a nice larger mesh bag as well, which is great to store it or let it air out and poof up a bit. I purchased this for my scout (5'8" 130 lb) to take camping this weekend in less than 30 degree weather. He came back from camp and said he was really warm. When the bag arrived we pulled it out of the stuff sack to fluff it up. It puffed up nicely and he seemed to have a good bit of room. we tested the zippers and they moved with out any issues, there are two separate zipper sections for the top 3/4 of the bag and the foot/lower leg area. Getting it back in the sack once puffed up was a little difficult, but we managed. It is a fairly light weight and packs down small, so he was able to fit it in his 60L pack. My only issue with the bag was how thin the outer fabric is. When my son got home he thought there was a hole. After inspecting the bag I did find a 1" hole on the back side. I think he may have caught the bag on a splinter. The filling was not coming out, thankfully, so I patched the hole with some nylon repair tape. I used this sleeping bag at 13,800ft of elevation in the Peruvian Andes last May. It got down into the 20s (fahrenheit) at night. I was extremely comfortable and slept well in my merino wool leggings and long-sleeve shirt while I was zipped up in this bag. I did use a Sea to Summit thin liner as well. Although this bag doesn't pack down small, it was worth the space in my check-in bag going to Peru. Out of everyone in my group, I slept the best because I wasn't freezing on my Salkantay hiking trip. I really liked how easily it zipped, and the little neck pillow to keep air out. Read more
