I’ve been on a clean-living journey this year — not just watching what I eat, but also what I put on my body. After years of using scented shower gels and soaps from brands like Bath & Body Works, I noticed my skin was constantly dry, and my hands were getting itchy. That’s when I made the switch to this Castile Bar Soap, and I’m so glad I did. Scent: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light, fresh, and clean without being overpowering. It’s perfect for daily use and doesn’t leave any residue or synthetic smell. Gentleness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve used this on my hands, body, and even face — and my skin feels clean and calm afterward. No dryness, no irritation. Clean Ingredients: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love that it’s free of sulfates, parabens, and other harsh chemicals. It gives peace of mind, especially for sensitive skin. Versatility: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I use one bar in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, and another in the shower. Works equally well everywhere. Value: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little goes a long way. It lathers nicely, and each bar lasts longer than most store-bought soaps I’ve tried. ✅ Pros: Safe and gentle for all-over use (even face) Clean, minimal scent No sulfates or parabens — great for sensitive skin Leaves skin soft, never dry or itchy Multi-use: bathroom, kitchen, shower Perfect for clean-living or low-tox lifestyle ❌ Cons: Honestly, none for me — this product is everything I needed. 📝 Final Thoughts: I’ve completely replaced my old bath and body soaps with this Castile bar soap. It’s not just about better skin — it’s peace of mind knowing I’m using something truly safe and clean on my body. Highly recommended for anyone looking to simplify and detox their self-care routine. Let me know if you want to adjust it to match a specific brand (like Dr. Bronner’s, etc.), or if you'd like to do the same for another product! Read more

The Dr. Bronner's brand has makes a really good all-round product in many ways. From a soap perspective, it is triple-milled and comes in scented and non-scented varieties. One of the things I really like about Dr. B's is that they are very up-front about all the ingredients in their soap and how those ingredients are acquired and used in the soap-making process, and most of them are organic or natural. As a person that gets skin irritations from some soap, I don't have to worry about my skin drying out using it. I bought the rose-scented soap and it's heavenly! Read more

I love this soap and that it holds its rose scent. It cleans well and lathers moderately. Its too pricey here now so I get it at my local health food store. Ingredients seem very clean to me if you are organic or GF. Scent won't hold on the skin but I like this soap and find that either people love or hate rose scent. Read more

I have very very sensitive skin. Before this I had been using Ivory, which I like, though it is a little drying. I love the scent, its a very subtle rose - not overpowering. I also have had lots of trouble with acne for many years and have tried EVERYTHING. This bar is miraculous and I will be buying it for life. It moisturizes well, better than Ivory, but I wouldn't recommend using it for your hair...it made it a little too dry. I also make my own natural laundry detergent (which cleans much better for me than cheaper store bought brands) which I had previously used fels-naptha or Ivory for the soap base. I definitely had to use softener with either of those, making the detergent NOT natural. With Dr. Bonner's, there is no need to buy softener and its natural. I grate this soap, put it in a processor to make it as fine as possible, and mix this with two parts of each borax and washing soda. (One bar comes to roughly a cup of finely processed soap, so I mix this with two cups of borax and two cups of washing soda = five cups of detergent) I use about a fourth a cup for a full load Read more
