broke them in. took about two weeks (wearing thru the whole day about ten times) pretty uncomfortable until that moment when theyll mold to your feet and become one with you. got a size nine, usually size nine - nine 1/2 in other shoes. so i went with nine. leather quality is good considering im not an expert on the leather quality of a shoe or boot. to add onto the comfort- at first i squeezed my foot into these and couldn’t wiggle my toes, they were pretty much tight in every way. since i broke them out now, they are very comfortable and i am able to wear these for anything whether it be fancier or just plain casual. can easily slip on. one thing im not sure about is the lack of the heel tab. could’ve used one of those a while back when breaking in. These are my favorite style of Docs so far. Finally, I didn't have to go through that horrible "breaking in" phase like with others. They have been comfortable since day one. The back heel edge is a bit rough, so I put some heel pads in just to save my socks. The size for me was perfect. I wear 7.5 normally and the 8 is snug enough that I don't get any sliding. The weight is definitely noticable at first, but not so much that it caused any muscle strain during a full day. Overall - fantastic. Now my favorite work shoes. Read more
