This drawer outlet kit offers a fantastic way to add convenient, hidden charging (2 AC, 4 USB-A, 2 USB-C ports) inside a drawer, keeping countertops clutter-free. However, potential users must be prepared for a somewhat involved installation. It requires cutting a precise rectangular hole in the back of the drawer using tools like a skill saw and drill. Additionally, the swing arm mechanism needs to be screwed into the back of the furniture piece. As someone experienced with home repair and woodworking, I found the process manageable, but it could be intimidating for those less comfortable with cutting into their furniture. A specific point of caution: the screws provided for the swing arm might pull through thin or particle board furniture backs (common in less expensive furniture). Using screws with washers (not included) would be advisable for those situations to prevent tear-through. Once installed, the outlet looks very clean and professional, integrating seamlessly into the drawer. It comes with both white and wood-grain faceplate options to match different aesthetics. The functionality is excellent, providing ample power right where it's needed, out of sight. It's a great product if you're comfortable with the installation demands. Read more
I have a nightstand next to my bed that I generally keep all of my electronic items every night to charge, and keep my tablet on it during the day for the same reason. The rat's nest of wires looked extremely unkept, so I was looking for a clean solution. Since the nightstand has a drawer, I could use it to keep all the items, but would have needed all the wires hanging out the back. I saw this drawer outlet and really liked the order of it. It does take a little bit of work to cut a hole in the back of the drawer. The back of mine was constructed of wood, so I had to drill four holes, cut it out with a saber saw, then clean the opening with a rotary tool. The final install is very clean and the arm keeps the wires from binding up and hanging under the table. The assortment of plugs covers everything I need and keeps all the wires in the drawer where they belong. The only issue I have is that the slides on the drawer don't all the drawer to slide all the way out for good outlet access, but I have a set I am going to swap out. The outlet works very well and with the fascia snapped on it has a very nice appearance. Overall, this is a good solution if you want to store/charge items in a drawer for a cleaner, neater look. Well worth the money for this application. Read more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this to add a hidden charging station to a nightstand, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. It’s a smart way to keep cords organized and out of sight, and especially great for reducing clutter. Installation does take a moderately high level of DIY effort—you’ll need to cut a hole in the back of your drawer and attach the swing arm—nothing too complex if you’re comfortable with basic tools, but it is a permanent alteration. Once installed, it looks clean and like it was always meant to be there, and the swing arm keeps everything moving smoothly without cords getting caught or bunched up. The charging options are excellent: a good mix of USB-A, USB-C, and regular AC plugs. It has a nice, sturdy feel to it as well. I also appreciated that it came with both a standard charging cable and a little USB adapter. Overall, it’s a great upgrade if you want a clean, functional way to charge multiple devices in one spot without the mess. Worth it for the convenience and the clean look. Read more

A little hard to install but worth the hard work and effort. We had to modify my drawer to fit this plug, but now I can keep my items plugged in and not worry about the tangled, damaged, or smashed cords. Having the outlet strip in my drawer also gives me more cord to use my items versus the cord needing to reach from the floor to the top of my head. We are thinking about getting another one for the kitchen cabinet, but maybe one that is less difficult to install. Read more
