We recently updated our basement "office" space and I had been searching for a reasonably priced corner desk. When I found the SEDETA L Shaped Computer Desk I knew it was meant to be as the dimensions worked PERFECTLY. Once I was sold on that, I needed to get a storage shelf/cart for our printer (the desk shelf isn't large enough) and I was happy to find the SEDETA 44" File Cabinet which matched the desk. I found assembly to be pretty easy. Each piece was labeled, as was the hardware, and the instructions were pretty clear. There was another review which indicates you should "wait to install Item 1 until last"... I followed that recommendation but I'm not sure what value it added as it actually made installing the middle screw more difficult and I believe having done it when originally advised it would make things easier to "balance" on other steps (so I would probably ignore that!). Overall the steps are pretty straightforward and I only had 1-2 issues. There was one part where there were multiple holes (and some appeared to be "puttied" over) which caused a mistake when installing the drawer rails, but I quickly recognized and corrected the mistake. All said and done... it took about 1.5 hours to fully build (and that was while doing other things around the house, and by myself). There seemed to be a few other areas with putty applied which was a bit annoying (just getting on hands/fingers) but that was a minor annoyance. The quality is what you would expect for this price point... the wood surface itself is a bit thin, but it looks very nice in person and I love the "industrial" look mixing wood and metal. I also compared the "height" of the file cabinet to the matching desk and assumed the "desk" surfaces would be the same height for both items (29.5") however the file cabinet surface is slightly less as the 29.5" measurement in the photo is for the back wall (which adds 3.9"). As for the drawers, I paid extra attention to ensuring all of the pieces were "squared" when assembling and that the rails were level/centered and I was pleased to find no issues with opening/closing (slides smoothly) or drooping. The addition of integrated power is a nice addition. One other thing I'll mention is that we also purchased the SEDETA L Shaped Computer Desk (also in "Rustic Brown). It isn't an exact color match (a little more of a lighter brown with less of the black grain/streaks) but it's "close enough" to be across the room and not stand out. I've included a photo of that here as well just for reference. I will have more photos on that product/review page for anyone interested, as that was one of the things I looked for when purchasing and considered going in all white since they were likely to be an exact color match. Overall I would recommend this file cabinet - just make sure there's no exterior damage to the box when it arrives from shipping and the inside is well packaged and everything should be good. Enjoy! Easy to build--I did it over a few hours while watching a movie with zero issues. Sturdy and good looking. The only reason not rated a full 5 stars is that the color is not exactly a match to the gray double desk I bought it to specifically coordinate with. It's fine, but it's not exactly the same. Totally worth the money. Read more

I work from home and needed something to put my printer on and store some things and needed file drawers. This has been a life saver! It’s super sturdy, easy to move cause it’s on wheels! The storage capacity is great and it is definitely well made! If you need something that looks great and for work or something else this would be a perfect choice! It does take a little time to put together but worth the time because it is very well made. Read more

Ok, I was extremely nervous about putting this together after all the reviews which stated instructions weren’t clear, pieces didn’t line up, boards were warped, pieces were missing and customer service wasn’t the best. I was pleasantly surprised! One person could put this together, but 2 will make it go faster. It took me and my hubby about 2 hours total, taking our time to make sure we put all the panels facing the correct direction. Read carefully and pay attention to the photos so you don’t miss a step. G-1 (screws I assume) was mentioned twice in the steps but we had no G-1 in our kit so I assume it was a misprint. The G-1 pack was there but empty. According to the instructions there should have been at least 2 , so if you don’t have those, don’t drive yourself crazy because we couldn’t find where we needed those anyway. The one mistake we made was not putting the number 6 panels(2) on the back of the cabinet. We realized it after the whole thing was put together, the instructions call them the slot cards. The # 6 panels placement was very obscure so we just missed it, however it is for aesthetics only so we opted to leave them off since we are butting the cabinet up against a wall.( For your reference, the # 6 panels should be installed in steps 5 and 6 on page 7 of the manual.) Even if we didn’t put it against a wall, it would look fine without them. Once you get the two drawers put together, leave the screws loose on the end so you can get your K wires (holds your file folders) in the slots, if you don’t you will have to repeat a step. There are 22 steps to complete the assembly. You can look at the front page of the instructions manual, too and that is helpful as you’ll see that the casters with the locks are on the front of the cabinet and which way the decorative iron bookends should have the curve at the top of the cabinet, for example. The installation of the lock on the top drawer was completely omitted from the instruction manual, but was easy to figure out. Save it and the plug installation for the end. Take your time, you can do it!! Get your own tools, the ones it comes with suck, as usual. I honestly thought it would be a day of teeth gnashing and yelling but we found ourselves saying “ that was pretty easy.”Yes, we’re handy but not experts. For the price, IMO you probably couldn’t do better than this. Yes it’s particle board, not an heirloom piece you’ll keep forever. It does not have any chemical smell that we noticed. The rustic brown looks great. Of course we measured our space to make sure it would fit. It rolled across our hardwood without scratching it. The accessory holders are for whatever you might want to hang there or you may think they are something you don’t need. My hubby hung his caps on a couple of them. I am really satisfied but only time will tell much about the overall quality. If you’re on the fence, go for it. Read more

Great cabinet but I wish they had an option without casters. I left one of the small shelves off so I could place my PC there. I put this cabinet beside their corner desk. They look great together. Would buy again. Read more

Overall, the quality of the unit is very good. It's much more sturdy than your typical pressboard shelf you would get from Target or Walmart. It takes a while to put together, but that's because it's held together so well. It will certainly last a long time. My only problem (and it's kind of a big one) is that the folders don't fit in the drawers. You can see from my photos that the hanging folders fit fine, but if you put manila folders in them (which is what's supposed to happen) then you can't shut the drawer. I guess I need to put all my paperwork in the hanging folders. But you can't even use the hanging folder labels because they, too, don't fit when you close the drawer. Very frustrating, simple error that really ruined the experience of re-organizing my home office. Read more
