DreamEgg Sound machine alarm clock review. I finally decided to remove the G**gle home from beside my bed and my HEAD because while it tracked my sleep....i think it negatively effected my sleep. So the hunt for a NEW clock with an alarm began. This item was on a little bit of a special deal when i got it at about $22 us dollars. Not bad. It had the basic functions i wanted (alarm, snooze and time) with addition of sound/white noise but lacked radio, and battery backup. It had good reviews and i think i have a small sound machine from this company that's worked well for years so i decided to go for this one. The size is compact but the size of the clock display is not small. I really like that it requires LITTLE space and i like the round compact design. The directions are clear and it is easy to set You can set 24 (military) or 12 hr time and am/pm of course You can only turn the alarm ON or OFF; there are NO dual alarms and no ability to set it on some days and off other days....so if you are using this for different times to wake or sleep this may not be your favorite machine. For me, I still rely on my phone to do the major alarms and this is a back up. I would PREFER if it did have a backup battery option but that wasn't a deal killer for me. The light of the clock has 3 or 4 bright/dim options as well as different color options which is a nice touch. The plug is capable of usb or a USA outlet and that is also a nice feature. The SOUND machine has a good variety and the ALARM tones are also very nice and soothing to annoying (you pick your best one!) I think that i'll be getting my money's worth from this as long as it keeps working. No issues so far (it's been a week) I think it's good quality (my sony dream machine lasted decades!) so i hope and would EXPECT that this should last at least 3-5 or more years. Very happy with this in most respects and would recommend it. It is not for everyone but if you need a basic alarm that you don't need at multiple alarm times, it should suit you just fine and also be a relaxing way to arise (i like the birds and the soothing chime like "alarms" the best) Recommended! This is the sweetest combo clock/sound machine! The size is perfect for sharing space with nightstand lamp, books & puppy treats. I've done without a bedside clock for years because the clock lights have always been too bright for my pleasure. This one is adjustable from very dim (my preference), though visible in a totally dark room to plenty bright enough to be easily seen in a fully daylit room.
