I have been hesitant to write a review till I have had it at least a short while, but I remind myself it has a 5 year warranty. So far have been really happy with it. it really does put out the needed heat. It has now replaced my milk house heater because it puts out way more heat and is quieter.. I hope it doesn't quit as some have said. My only complaint is that it occasionally will shut down in the middle of the night but I think that's timer related. I'm hoping that will improve as I learn more about it. So far I recommend it. Read more
Bought these to replace a decorative fireplace heater. The construction, design and heat output are fantastic. Above expectations for the size. Ran at 73* and had to turn it down after several hours for a 14x30 space. Also noticed a significant drop in power bill. This is one of the best investments I’ve made for comfort and space saving. I bought this product in march 2022 , in December 2025 it seems I need to replace the motor . All my Amazon electric purchases start having problems . If it worked with battery I can’t find to buy the same battery to replace it so I have to throw the whole thing and pay for a new one Read more
This heater works great, it will keep a room nice and toasty whenever it is on. The auto on/off feature works great to make sure the room stays at the temperature that you want it to be at. I have not had any issues with it smells or causing any type of problems in the room. I use it to keep my kids rooms warm at night. Read more
Compact design. I use it for winter tent 10’x10’x7’ camping in northeast Texas although they don’t recommend it. I can only use it when I have electrical access. But when it’s cold & damp like in January it’s a great psychology boost to have heat oscillating to take the 24 degree dampness to 65 or so. You don’t want to get too warm and then go outside. I knocked the heater over to test its safety feature and the heater shut off but fan kept running to cool down the unit. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Review for DR-HSH004 bought March 2023 and comparison to new replacement March 2025 DR-HSH004-G Started making LOUD noises, would struggle to oscillate like motor was burning out. Heater was not dusty or dirty (FYI, you cannot unscrew and clean fan blades). Dreo phone support was pleasant. I turned on heater for customer service to hear. They sent email requesting video of problem. Within a few days I got a newer model. My warranty was expired and I was unaware I could have extended it. EXCELLENT company and support. Giving 3 stars because my inexpensive non-digital 20-year old Holmes portable heater used in a bathroom is still going strong. Bought heater for the ECO programmable thermostat on/off. Tried out a bunch of heaters that would replicate what my decades old Holmes heaters would do. This heater is quiet. Looks nice on my dresser next to my bed. I don’t regret paying $55 for it. Comparison to replacement March 2025 model DR-HSH004-G. The front grate color is more silver than black. In low light you can’t tell difference as much. But it’s definitely different. The new model comes with a remote control. You can MUTE the beeps! I use the ECO mode where its cycles on/off at 65F at night mainly. Hope this helps. I own other space heaters and my tiny white CUTE wally big box one for $23 is louder, but cycles on/off and would have been my replacement if Dreo didn’t make good on my defective one.
