Dreo Space Heater 1500W 60 Adjustable Tilt 10 5ft s Portable Electric Heaters for Indoor Use with Thermostat

This is my second Dreo space heater, and yes, I'm still using the tower I bought a few years ago - Dreo really is raising the bar when it comes to the portable fan and heater arena. Efficient, well designed aesthetically and functionally with a lot of bang for the buck, and pretty darn QUIET, which so many fan-driven items are not. Fan noise is the one thing that drives me nuts in a quiet home. I originally bought this tilt space heater to use in the bathroom when I shower so it's not so cold when I step out. It really does put out a lot of heat, the lowest heat setting of one (H1) pretty much does the job. I may get another as it's actually quieter than my older Dreo tower, which is fairly quiet. Or possibly just upgrade to a newer quieter tower model. Anyways, there's way more PROs than CONs to this mighty little Dreo ... CONS: - Takes getting used to the display that H1 is not a short abbreviation for 'Hi' 'Hello' or 'High' setting, it's just the lowest in H1, H2, H3. - Touch controls are TOO SENSITIVE, wish they had some resistance more like a push button, I have to unplug it when not in use because my cats nose or paw could accidentally turn the unit on. - The unit does not tilt downward. I was thinking it would be nice to mount it on a raised shelf out of the way in the bathroom and have it face downward a little. Alas, the floor point up will have to do. - No remote holder or storage, underneath doesn't really count. - Cord storage under unit does the job but is less elegant of a feature. - No auto rotate, which is fine, I don't need it, and they make other models that do. - 30 Second cool down, not sure if that's a pro or con. PROS: - No styrofoam shipping waste !! Seriously, that stuff is a mess and eco disaster - Dreo uses unbleached press formed cardboard or paper, easy to recycle, throw away to biodegrade without toxins. - Quietest of small fan space heaters I've used. Don't have to crank up the TV volume when watching a movie or listening to music. Certainly giving Dyson a run for the money and at a better price bracket. - Has a FAN ONLY mode - why other manufacturers don't include this simple feature is astonishing. Every space heater should include this option. - Massive heat from such a small unit, can easily heat a 500 SqFt studio. - No weird burning smell on first use, even if so, it usually goes away. - Has a set it and forget it temperature setting, incase you don't like to always control it manually. - Unique simple designs, modern, and I like the black color options to blend in to the rooms better. - Tilt up from straight out feature clicks into segments, no tilt down. - Display on or off. - Easy to use remote and on unit controls. - 30 Second cool down, not sure if that's a pro or con, my old Lasko tower heater was instant off and ran perfectly for well over 5 years. I personally don't like the cool down as it introduces cool air to a warm space, but I'm guessing it will make the components last longer? Overall - Excellent buy. This heater is just the right size for my master bedroom. I particularly like the various settings, from a low, steady warmth to blast-off heat...lol. The remote is a great convenience during the night . One quick button push and I can stay in bed and not walk to adjust the heat level. I also love that it's whisper soft quiet. Seems great so far. It heats up quickly, has a handy remote that works perfectly, and works well in a small room. It only comes with a 12-month warranty, so it's not really built to last. But for now, the quality seems nice and it does a good job heating up. Seems like a decent, little space heater. Read more

This projects an impressive amount of heat at low fan speeds, meaning it's QUIET. (It also has two higher fan speeds if you want even more heat.) Nice shallow depth, so it doesn't take up a lot of space. The tilt-up option is welcome and unusual – most space heaters automatically shut off whenever they're not flat on the floor. The only weak point is the "Eco" mode, which is intended to let you set a target temperature. The thermostat seems to sense temperature only near the heater, not room temperature. So you need to overstate the target temperature to prevent the heater from shutting off prematurely. The heater is small, heats and works well. Just set the desire temperature, quickly the room will be at the desired temperature. It keeps the space at the temperature throughout the night. Excellent small space heater works well in an average bedroom. Highly recommended. Read more

I absolutely love this product and the manufacturer!!! This is my fourth purchase of a Dreo heater within the past 2 years. I’ve purchased them to use in various areas of the home where the natural gas heat doesn’t circulate well. I have also purchased them to heat a partially finished basement living/ office space. This winter I attempted to try 2 other highly recommended brands to heat the larger area of the basement. After less than a week, they were returned only to return to the trusted Dreo brand. The only good thing that came out of trying the other brands was discovering a different style of the Dreo heater. I have replaced my 1 year old office heater with a new DREO model because it was much quieter for conference calls and heated my small area more effectively. I don’t normally write long reviews, but this is so critical for those of us who work from home and need quiet for multiple conference calls or light sleepers. Finally having a heater that does not interrupt my ability to communicate and hear on business calls, as well as being able to sleep peacefully, is critical to my peace of mind. I can allow it to run overnight, without fear of overheating. From small to medium, tower to round, I have purchased almost all of the various Dreo styles and they are fantastic!!! Before leaving this review, I found an oil radiator style of Dreo heater that I might have to try for an additional bedroom that was recently added to the home. Excluding my mobile devices, this is only branded item that I have purchased multiple times within the last few years. That speaks to the quality and my personal satisfaction.
