BUY IT ! This is simply a fantastic ! I used it to heat my 30 year old 8×20 camper and even with temperatures in the teens it worked magnificent!. I like the heat protection plug that automatically trips the current off to the heater, if plug reaches a certain temperature. I feel safe with it. It’s good fire protection. I also like the safety switch that cuts off the electricity in case the heater gets tipped over. Another big plus is there Customer Service. I thought I had a problem with the thermal plug switch on the heater that was tripping the power and showing FF on the display. After trial and error test, I switched to another receptacle and presto, problem solved. I had a bad receptacle. Customer Service was with me the whole way. I would have never known that I had a bad receptacle if it had not been for the DREO thermal plug tripping and shutting off the heater. This might have saved me from a receptacle fire, because I ran a hair dryer , etc. on that bad receptacle and they never showed a problem in the receptacle, thank goodness for the DREO thermal plug! I bought this heater for my warehouse office. It quickly and quietly warms my 225 sf office to a comfortable temperature and maintains that temperature all day. I like that it has a remote to turn it on, raise & lower the temperature and to set the timer when to turn it off. Nice heater! Read more

Econo mode works well for a nightime setting, very little fan noise. Osolating pedistal makes some weird noises at times, might get worse after a few years of service but a feature that can be disabled. Read more

It works better than expected and is able to keep up with heating a 500 sq. ft. area on eco mode. Using it as a supplemental heater in order to offset expensive gas bills has proven to be an effective strategy with this unit. The safety plug adds an extra layer of confidence in leaving it running when away from home. It has an accurate thermostat on it and circulates air well. I have no complaints about it. Read more

This model tripped my breaker on my power strip, so I had to plug it directly into the wall. The warmth is created, but only at about 4' or less. Also, the plug gets very hot from the power consumption. These are the reasons I returned this item. Read more

The Dreo Solaris Max is a nice looking heater with a handy remote control, but its range is about the same as a desk space heater, so I'm surprised by all the enthusiastic feedback. Yes, it does take the chill out of the air when close by, but I found its range to be limited. A control for the fan speed would’ve been useful on this heater, allowing the user to adjust a lower speed on the H1, H2 & H3 heat settings. For instance, even set on its high H3 setting (1500W), if the heater is placed over 6 feet away, the heat dissipates by the time it reaches you and the cool breeze of the fan is what’s left, making it ineffective. The low setting of H1 seems to be the best blend of fan and heat for myself, even though this means the heater is much closer (2-3 feet), again, similar to a desk space heater. Would I recommend the Solaris Max? As a desk space heater, yes I would. Read more

Really love this heater, set to 68 degrees and it kicks on only as needed. I use it for supplemental heat to large room (approx. 12W X 25L with 10 ft ceiling. The room was an add-on to the house, and only one heat duct was provided, which was inadequate. But this heater keeps it very comfortable in the colder north PA weather. It also is very quiet.
