Best little wheel chair in the world. It is flexible, very well-built and a joy to use! Can someone actually enjoy using a wheel chair? My husband uses it and he is totally disabled from the waist down and absolutely loves it. He uses it to move around furniture, and run around and through the house. The smaller wheels makes it far easier to turn corners and maneuver around and in fact you can turn this clear around in one place, like a circle it is so flexible. It makes that 360 degrees easily and quickly. We love this wheel chair, and frankly everyone should own one. You never know when you or a loved one are going to need it? It is incredibly well made, I am very, very happy! And talk about light, it is very very light, and I am a 70 year old woman and easily move it around with no problems and load it in the car. I have no idea I would find one so easy to use, and I was very worried about being able to haul one around? . . I can even see where some day I am probably going to wind up using it, I have a bad knee and sometimes it feels sprained. this is a breeze to use. Hint though, it is much easier to use if you do not put the foot rests on for short distances. You don't need them, but they are there if you ever do. I just took ours off completely, as we generally only go short distances around the house, and then I don't have to fool with taking them on and off. It is a very beautiful blue! Read more

The pictures state it will hold 300lbs the about this item say 250lbs. I bought this item based on the picture saying it held 300lbs. Here is the tricky part it will not collapse if you weigh more than 250lbs but it will not smoothly roll either. I would say the chair would be more comfortable for users under 200lbs. It gets harder to push the more the passenger weighs. It is lightweight and easy to lift. The color is nice and overall decent but best for lighter users. Also not sure if is suppose to come with a seatbelt or not. Mine did not have one and if traveling down an incline I would suggest having one since there is not much to the wheelchair and sliding/falling off the seat is never ideal. Also make sure your brakes fully engage and stay engaged when getting in and out of the wheelchair. If I set the brakes from the sitting position mine do not stay engaged. Also know this item is not returnable and Amazon will treat you like crap if you call for a refund. So make sure to check out the company website for the most accurate details about this and other medical supplies. So you do not get stuck with a chair that does not work for you. Read more

I fell & broke both ankles so I needed a wheel chair to get around. I chose this one because it has a fabric seat and back. It is light weigh and folds to fit on the backseat of our car. Its very sturdy. I am 5'5 and around 150lb. It rolls & turns very well. The back wheels are larger than front wheels but It does not have the big wheels to push yourself with. Manual brakes are located at each back wheel. It has folding arm rests which I use a lot.. The foot rests are hard plastic. My hard cast would slip off the rest so I used a rubber pad(jar opener) on the foot rest so my cast didn't slip off any more. I finally took the rests completely off and push myself with my least broken foot. It has a storage bag on the back. I cant reach it ,it should be on the side. This chair is extremely low sitting! I use two cushions to boost my height some. I would not recommend for a long legged person without some sort of seat boost. It works for me to get around the house for 12 weeks. I wouldn't want it as a permanent chair. Its fine as a transport chair or scoot about. Read more

My wife is 80 and has had two rather unsuccessful back operations. We looked at the " free" chair that Medicare would pay for at a local medical supply store. The price tag claimed was a $500.00 chair. The Medicare paperwork was endless and required two trips back to the doctor's office to complete the required coding. Even the doctor complained about the process. The store said the paper work was acceptable and they would submit it to Medicare and after approval delivery would be two weeks. We tried the display chair in the store and my wife felt unsafe in it. When you have had two spinal operations you want to feel the chair you are using for transport is safe and dependable. I went on Amazon and found this Drive Transport Chair chair for under $200.00. Delivery was super fast. I inspected the chair closely. It is so much better made than the "free" chair my wife was offered. It is light, attractive, sturdy, easy to fold. It has great control and she and I know she is safe in it. She even likes the color and if you have been married for over 50 years that can be a bonus. My wife got compliments at the doctors office and also last week when she was in for a hospital procedure. The nurse asked where she bought it and we were pleased to tell her "from Amazon." Free is not the answer to everything...in this case Amazon was the better answer. Read more

After reading many reviews on the best transport chair for my sister, I chose the Drive. It is light enough for me (5' tall) to pick up and put in the trunk of an SUV, easy to fold and unfold and the large wheels make it easy to push. Great for going places where a regular wheelchair is to big. I would take care using with someone that is close to the weight limit of the chair. It can feel a little unstable to them and a little harder to push. This chair has worked great for our family over the last few years. I would buy again. Read more

Lightweight and sporty BUT poorly designed. Arms are too short and not strong enough to support body weight getting in and out of chair. Not safe for anyone who uses their arms to lower and raise themselves from chair. Arm bent and broke first month. Very glad we have Amazon Prime so could return chair for full refund. Buyer beware!
