I’m 47, and have recently noticed that my skin is flakey in spots and starting to just look dull. So, I started researching on ways to get rid of the flakey skin, make my face look brighter, and make my makeup lay better. Exfoliation is the answer I kept getting. Now, usually, when I think about exfoliating, I think about a rough facial scrub that could possibly make my skin worse instead of better. After reading a ton of reviews, I decided to try this exfoliator. IM SO GLAD I DID! I just got this 5 days ago, and have used it 3 times already ( the instructions suggest using it 2-3 times a week, but I’m using it every other day.) The grit in this is so fine that it’s super gentle on my skin, and it doesn’t take much to do the job! It gets off all my little flakes and leaves my skin feeling baby butt soft! I do use Clinique’s moisture surge serum afterwards to help make sure I don’t get dried out. My face looks better, feels better, and helps my makeup look smoother. It is a smaller jar for the price, but I think it’s well worth it, and like I said before, a little goes a long way! This is almost the same as a major brand name microdermabrasion. It’s so gentle and a little goes a long way. My skin is softer and it’s not abrasive at all. Hands down the best face scrub I’ve ever used. The micro granules are just abrasive enough to slough off dead skin and leave a clean slate without causing ANY irritation. I use multiple times a week with no problems on my combination/dry skin. Pro tip: leave on for 5-10 minutes to let the product activate a little more. I’ll never use another scrub. Read more
Very fine grit, and there's plenty of it. I prefer this over the ones that are mostly cream with very little grit. It really helps to scrub off all the dead skin, and my face is left smooth afterwards. Read more
I've now finished two of these, and I can confidently say it's the best exfoliator I've ever used! The grit is very fine, so it doesn't feel painful or like it's scratching my face. It leaves my skin super smooth without feeling dry and tight. The cream that the grit is suspended in is very soft and soothing. It's unscented, which I really appreciate. I have oily/combination skin with some redness and acne, and this exfoliator has never exacerbated either of those.
