As a fan of The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, and Dreamfall Chapters I figured this game would be enjoyable. And enjoy I did! Don’t let the internet hate machine fool you this game isn’t what it seems at a glance. There’s a thought provoking narrative here, with a unique and delightful cast of characters, wrapped in more than a few moments of slightly clunky dialogues. The alternate timeline setting is interesting and gives slight “11/22/63” vibes since they both revolve around Kennedy surviving and the resulting futures being worse than imagined. The art style direction is great, and the music is good. If you are a fan of point & click adventure games definitely give this one a go. Don’t buy into the disinformation campaign against the game by folks that never played it. Read more

Some people don't play enough videogames

Based on some of the reviews that give it 4 stars, those people don't play enough videogames. I can confirm the reviews that gave it a 1 are true. Atrocious writing and dialogue. Right away when you start the game it presents you with characters especially one of them that you won't like the moment they start talking. The game tried to make you sympathetic and understand the "issues" they have but all it did is make me loathe them. Gameplay; what gameplay? It's a big clunky and jank mess that does not have any weight to it. I can go on but I feel I said enough as I have wasted my time with this game already. Read more

Straight up propaganda. Very racist and on the nose with its communist messaging. Terrible dialogue and the combat is a joke.
