Unless you are a muscle man/woman, this vacuum is so hard to handle. I have large area rugs over my wood floors, the vacuum is very hard to push and turn. Forget about using the wand for anything! When you do, it falls over ALL THE TIME! Whenever you take the hose out to vacuum the furniture, the vacuum comes with you (and falls). I think that the suction is so strong that the hose doesn’t come out. When you pull on the wand/hose, it is almost impossible to use. I even have the nifty little attachment for upholstery and I can’t use it. Oh, and did I mention? The whole vacuum falls down. The cord is a pain. It comes out mid-way on the vacuum and I have to loop it in the handle to keep it out of the way. If I need to vacuum my whole house and do upholstery, I get a blister between my thumb and forefinger 😢 I can’t use the vacuum on my smaller area rugs because it sucks them up. It is good for the hardwood floor for dust. It won’t get a piece of cat food though…it just pushes it around. So, I only use this beast for hardwood floors. The media could not be loaded. This machine does NOT work on carpet, and I have a low pile rug, as it sucks so hard it literally won’t move. It is extremely poorly designed for a vacuum. I read other people are getting a replacement head with a switch that lets air in, but dyson won’t give me one. They want to ship it to Michigan. I paid hundreds of dollars for this awful experience. I cannot recommend this vac to anyone. Dyson should be ashamed if itself. This is a design defect. Read more

Not made for carpet even though it is advertised it is!!

This Dyson vacuum cleaner was advertised that it was made to be used on floors, carpet, and furniture. What they don’t tell you is that you can’t really even push it on carpet. I have a low pile carpet in my living room area plus medium pile in my bedroom and family room and stairs and you cannot push the vacuum cleaner on carpet and there is no adjustment for the suction. I wasted a lot of time trying to go through the manual trying to watch different YouTube videos to see if there was something I was doing wrong then finally call customer service to find out that that is an issue, although they advertise that it is made for carpet And you can buy another attachment to make it easier for carpet although it is out of stock and you don’t know when you’re going to get it back. But who wants to buy another attachment when you spent this much money on the vacuum cleaner in the first place. Now the Dyson three is made to you be used on carpet according to the customer service person. I spoke to, and I asked if they would exchange mine for all three and they said no I’ve use mine only a handful of times, but I’m disappointed in the machine. I’m disappointed in the company And I felt like it was misrepresented to me! Read more
