I have a small leather binder used for making notes. I needed replacement pads and these E-CLIPS USA Notepads were perfect. First the lines are wide which I prefer for making notes. Second the sheets are thick enough so ballpoint pen ink does not bleed through the pages - but the sheets are thin. I did try using a permanent marker to see if it bleeds through to the reverse side of the page and it did. It did NOT bleed onto the next page of the pad - which shows the pages are thick enough. This was just a test and I will not be using a marker on the pages - just a ballpoint pen. The binder is well made and fits perfectly in my binder. I like the yellow paper shade and also the margin lines printed in red. The mini-pad looks just like a larger 8x14 inch legal pad - but the desired for me 5x8 inch size. Lastly the sheets easily tear off the pad. Using a previous pad, the sheets would tear when trying to remove. This pad has easy tear sheets that pull off easily without unsightly and unprofessional tearing These pads are an excellent value with a price point less than others I have purchased and not as good quality. I use these everyday for my job. I have to take notes at times and need a quick piece of paper. I love the small size. The tested sheets when needed. The one writes beautifully on the paper. The chipboard backing on these canary yellow 5x8 legal pads is not firm or sturdy, as they are being advertised. When I buy firm, I expect them to be firm. Instead, the backs are rather bendable and flimsy. The pads are a darker yellow than my Tops brand 5x8 legal pads. These pads have a wide margin, with only 18 lines on a sheet. In contrast, my Tops brand 5x8 legal pads have 25 lines on a sheet. The sheets tear easily. For the most part, the overall quality of these pads are comparable to others 5x8 legal pads. The price when I ordered was $9.99 for 3 pads. I feel paying $3.33/pad is excessive. Read more
I go through notepads pretty fast. These E-CLIPS notepads are the perfect size for me. The paper is good quality and easy to write on. It may sound odd but I have had notepads that are terrible to write on. The pages tear off easily and of course the size makes it easy to throw this in a small bag or purse. The price is about what I would pay at other places so the price of $9.99 is average for the product. Read more
These 5x7 ruled note pads are very handy, and easy to use when you don't wan't to lug around a full size legal pad. The individual sheets are perforated at the binding, so tearing off a sheet is easy. This seems like such praise for a common little note pad, but I have used such lousy ones lately that this one is worthy of the high marks. Read more
The E-CLIPS USA notepads are small, which will work well for my note-taking needs. The pads are printed front and back. The paper has a matte finish, and although the paper isn't super thick, it is thick enough that gel pens don't bleed through. The sheets are perforated along the top binding, making it easy to remove individual sheets if and as needed. The cardboard backer is thick and sturdy, enabling me to hold the pad in my hands and take notes, which works out well when taking inventory for grocery shopping. The pads arrived sealed in plastic. They were made in India. Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality of these pads. However, there are less expensive options available. Read more
